Update - All Dressed has been adopted!

We have four friendly cats looking for their forever homes. All cats have tested negative for Feline Leukemia, received their first vaccination, and have been treated for fleas and ticks. Their adoption fee includes their upcoming or completed spay/neuter surgery and microchip. They get along well with other felines.

Meet Our Adoptable Cats

All Dressed: A playful 9-week-old female kitten. She loves to run but also loves snuggles. She will do best with another friendly cat.

Pringles: A 2-year-old neutered male. He loves watching birds from the window sill and enjoys affectionate chin rubs.

Ruffles: A 2-year-old spayed female. She is highly energetic, loves playing with toys, and has a very sweet disposition.

Yum Yum: An 8-month-old spayed female. She is incredibly affectionate, loves being brushed, and enjoys playing fetch.

Meet Miss Vickies and Yum Yum. They are both spayed females, have been microchipped, tested negative for FeLV and FIV, had their first FVRCP vaccine, and have been de-flead/de-wormed.

We believe they will do best in a quiet household, with another calm animal, that will be patient with them while they adjust! If you'd like to set up a time to meet them, give us a call at 902-820-6002. 🐈

🚨 It’s time to have the Tick Talk! 🚨

It is no secret that Nova Scotia has a major tick problem. These pesky hitchhikers can easily ride into your home on your clothing, outdoor gear, or your pets—meaning even your strictly indoor pets need protection to stay safe. Worse yet, ticks are causing more problems than just Lyme disease.
Here are the hard numbers from our clinic so far this year:
🩺 We have run 63 4Dx screening tests since January.
📈 The data reveals an increase in Anaplasmosis and Ehrlichia.
🚩 1 in 4 tests have come back positive. Because ticks remain active whenever temperatures are above freezing, your pets need reliable flea and tick preventative all year round. Let’s find the perfect defense system for your pet's specific lifestyle.

Meet our new Veterinarian!
Dr. Melanie Stuart!

She completed her undergraduate degree in animal science and behaviour at Nova Scotia Agricultural College then attended veterinary school at the Atlantic Veterinary College. Upon graduation in 2020 she moved to Ontario to work in small animal practice until last year when she returned back home to the Maritimes. She has a special interest in surgery and animal behaviour. She also loves fostering kittens until they are ready for adoption. When not working she enjoys relaxing with a good book and her cat, Oliver, travel, and exploring the outdoors and local beaches.

We are so excited to have her on our team!
