We can decrease conflict, and increase harmony when we take time to bond with our dogs and show them what we expect of them.
Dogs and pets are scientifically proven to have significant health benefits, but to fully enjoy the benefits, it does take some work, pre planning, and understanding.

We are so PROUD to be 🇨🇦 Canadian! 🇨🇦We hope you celebrate today with loved one and with laughter and fun!

Reminder: Many dogs are terrified of Fireworks 🎇 and need to be secured in a safe area. Make sure to have a plan BEFORE the evening displays start. Some tips to keep dog who do not enjoy fireworks safe:

🎶 play classical music, white noise or something to distract away from the sound
🐶 use an adaptil diffuser to create a calm environment
🎽 Try a thunder shirt or pressure wrap
🏡 Leave them secure at home instead of bringing them along to the firework shows.

Did you know the majority of bites to children are over the summer break? ⛱️With the arrival of summer, ☀️we tend to be busy, kids tend to be home and bored, and this is your reminder that supervising kids and dogs 🐕 is important even when they have been great all year long. With lack of rest and breaks from the kids our dogs can get trigger stacked more quickly and their tolerance levels will go down with less rest and more chaos. 🫣

😴 Give your dog time away from the chaos
🛑 Reinforce rules and boundaries for kids
📅 Create a predictable routine for everyone
👀 Always supervise kids and dogs
🗣️ Advocate for both sides and redirect uncomfortable moments

Kids and dogs are great together, but it takes preplanning, observation, and understanding from the parents and adults to keep everyone safe.

Dog training is a journey — not a straight line, not always easy, but always worth it. 🐾✨

Some days we make huge strides. Other days, just getting a calm “sit” feels like a mountain climbed. But what I’ve learned is that the little wins are everything — a quiet moment of focus, a loose leash walk around the block, or a tail wag after a new cue.

It’s in these moments that trust is built. It’s not about perfection — it’s about progress, consistency, and connection.

So here’s to celebrating every “almost,” every “not quite,” and every “we’re getting there.” 💛 Because the little wins? They’re actually the big ones in disguise.

We LOVE getting into the schools to teach kids about dog safety and increase dog awareness. Thank you to Early Discoveries for the beautiful card. We are so glad the kids enjoyed our presentation.

You complained, we listened! The booking software we have been using has not been the most user friendly experience. So we are switching booking software's to provide a better customer experience, more clarity, and hopefully in the long run make our lives easier too. We appreciate your patience as we navigate this change, and welcome any feedback as you use the new systems.

Elysia spent some time in Italy, and it is always interesting to see the relationships between dogs and kids captured hundreds and thousands of years ago. We challenge you to study the body language of the dogs and tell me if any one of them is super comfortable.
