Random fact of the day.

A dog’s nose is such a powerful scent detector that they can sense how long ago something happened based on how strong or faded a smell is.

For example, when you leave the house, your scent slowly fades in the air and on surfaces. Your dog can detect that fading trail like a tiny biological clock. That helps them guess when you might come home.

So when your dog is waiting by the door right before you arrive, it might not be magic. It is more like their nose quietly whispering, “Human scent level approaching return threshold.” 🐾👃
