A balanced raw diet isn’t about one protein, it’s about rotation.

Feeding the same protein every day = more chances for sensitivities, boredom, and nutritional gaps. Rotation keeps things balanced, resilient, and closer to how dogs are meant to eat.

Here’s a simple structure that actually works:

60–70% lean proteins
(chicken, turkey, duck, rabbit)
→ Easier to digest, lighter on the system, and help maintain a healthy weight and stool consistency.

30–40% rich proteins
(beef, lamb, pork, bison, water buffalo)
→ Higher in fat and nutrients like iron and zinc to support energy, muscle development, and overall condition.

2 lean days → 1 rich day → repeat
→ Prevents overloading fat while still delivering nutrient-dense variety.

Salmon (1x/week)
→ Natural source of omega-3s (EPA & DHA) to support skin, coat, joints, and reduce inflammation.

Sardines (2x/week)
→ Small oily fish = omega-3s + calcium (if whole) + vitamin D. An easy whole-food boost.

Minimum 3 proteins in rotation
