If I’m training your dog, chances are I am also loving on them or comforting them the same way you would. Not because I’m coddling them or avoiding the hard stuff—honestly, it’s usually happening right alongside it.

Connection is part of the work. Building trust, helping them feel safe, and teaching them how to regulate doesn’t come from pressure alone. It comes from knowing when to push and when to support.

Your dog isn’t just learning skills—they’re learning how to exist in the world a little easier. And sometimes that looks like a quiet moment, a reset, and yes… a snuggle in between the work.
