🚨 Tick Alert for Pet Owners 🚨

We want to share an important reminder that ticks are not only real—they’re active.

Today, a client brought in her 6-month-old puppy after a walk through a park in Markham. The puppy had jumped into a pile of leaves in a wooded area, and shortly after, she noticed ticks crawling all over his face. We removed 20 ticks during the visit.

These ticks hitched a ride from Markham and could have easily dropped off later during his routine stroll through Trinity Bellwoods Park—showing just how easily ticks can travel and spread between areas.

Ticks are here, and they’re here to stay. Prevention is key.

✔️ Use veterinarian-recommended tick prevention
✔️ Check your pet thoroughly after every walk (especially face, ears, and paws)
✔️ Be cautious in wooded areas, tall grass, and leaf piles
