It’s been a busy weekend!

📣 Backstreet Paws has once again opened our doors to a local surrender, and this time it’s a very special boy. ❤️

Meet Max who arrived today. Max is 8–10 year old pup who is blind. We received an email from a kind hearted woman who had been stepping in to feed and care for him daily, as Max was neglected often left alone for long hours with little support and often found laying in his own urine shaking from all the daily fights / screaming that would break out in the home. Despite the neighbours efforts, she knew this wasn’t the life he deserved and convinced the owner to surrender him 💔

Max may have lost his sight, but what he hasn’t lost is his spirit he’s one of the calmest, most loving dogs you could ever meet. He simply wants to spend his golden years surrounded by kindness, comfort, and family.

Now safe under the wing of Backstreet Paws, Max will be seen by our vet and given the care he needs. From there, we’ll begin searching for that special forever home where this sweet blind boy can finally know what it means to be truly cherished. 🏡✨

We’re the new kids at Backstreet Paws! We were pulled from the SPCA and wow… what a glow up already. 💫

Our foster family says we’re settling in just fine but honestly, how could we not? There are soft beds, yummy food, toys galore, and we’ve already mastered the art of begging for belly rubs. 🛋️🧸💖

We’re safe, happy, and finally starting to relax. Once the humans get to know us a little better, we’ll be ready to search for our forever homes. 🏡✨

After a long and arduous recovery, her sweet and gentle nature began to radiate, captivating the hearts of everyone around her. It became clear that returning her to the streets was not an option, and since then, Mala has been waiting patiently for her forever home.

Thanks to a rare flight volunteer, Mala's dream of finding her forever home is finally within reach. This affectionate, joyful, and loving dog is a perfect companion for any family.
