Prairie Storm Merlin 2nd WCX SH × Oak Lane’s Willa Mean A WC JH (Merlin × Willa) puppies are now three weeks old!

Yesterday was a big milestone as these 11 chocolate puppies got to spend time outside for the very first time. Willa has done an outstanding job raising this beautiful litter, and all 11 puppies 4 females and 7 males are absolutely thriving. Their eyes are open, their little legs are still adorably wobbly, and they’re becoming more adventurous every day as they begin exploring the world around them. We’re hearing plenty of tiny barks and playful yips, and they’re hitting every developmental milestone we hope to see at this age.

Based on what we’re already seeing, these puppies are showing all the qualities we strive for in our breeding program. They have the potential to become exceptional hunting companions and hunt test dogs, while also possessing the calm, people-focused temperaments that make outstanding family companions.

We were extremely pleased with the puppies from this same breeding last year, who are now 18 months old, and we’re just as excited about this litter. It’s been wonderful watching these little ones grow, and we can’t wait to see how they continue to develop over the next five weeks.

These puppies will be ready to begin heading to their forever homes starting September 8th. If you’d like more information about this litter, please feel free to reach out—we’d be happy to answer any questions.

Our Hawksgarth Moonshine WCI JH × Westerkames Holly WC JH (Shine × Asher) puppies are now seven weeks old, and over the last couple of weeks they have truly come into their own.
These happy, confident, and adventurous little Labradors are taking everything in stride. They love exploring new environments, meeting new challenges, and are enthusiastically tackling all of the early puppy experiences we introduce them to. Every day they continue to show the outstanding qualities we value so much in British field-bred Labradors—intelligence, eagerness to please, natural retrieving ability, confidence, and affectionate, people-focused temperaments.
We’re especially excited to be keeping one of these little females (still need to figure out a name for her) to become part of our own breeding program, and we can’t wait to watch her grow alongside the rest of this exceptional litter.
Over the next week, these puppies will begin heading to their new homes across Canada. While it’s always bittersweet to see them leave, we’re incredibly excited to watch them grow into trusted hunting partners, versatile companions, and cherished family members.
Today is another milestone as they head to Gateway Veterinary Services for their first vaccinations and complete veterinary health checks.
We have just one more week with these little ones, and we’re going to make every minute count! They’ll continue building confidence with puppy bumpers, duck and pheasant wings, and with the warm weather ahead, they’ll be making their very first trip to the pond to experience the water.
It’s amazing how quickly seven weeks can fly by, and we couldn’t be prouder of this litter.

Our Narvin’s Railway Engineer, SH × Narvin’s What’s Your Name, JH (Spike × Ask Her) puppies are 8 weeks old today!
It’s hard to believe how quickly the past eight weeks have flown by. Over the next few days, many of these little Springer Spaniels will begin heading off to start their new adventures with their families. While we’re excited for what’s ahead, it’s always bittersweet to watch them leave.
This litter is everything we hope for in a field-bred English Springer Spaniel. They are happy, outgoing, confident, energetic, and full of personality. Their natural retrieving instinct, exceptional noses, eagerness to learn, and genuine love for people have made raising this litter an absolute pleasure.
Whether their future includes upland hunting, waterfowl, hunt tests, other dog sports, hiking, camping, or simply being an active member of the family, these puppies have the temperament and versatility to excel in a wide variety of roles.
We are looking forward to watching these young dogs grow and following their journeys over the years.

This week was a big milestone for our first-year Board & Train gun dogs—we officially started our water retrieving program!
While many of these dogs have been in the water before, it has always been about having fun, cooling off, and playing with the other dogs to build confidence and create positive experiences. A few of them had never even had the opportunity to swim before coming here, so it’s been especially rewarding to watch them discover just how much they love the water.
This week, we began introducing formal water retrieves, teaching them to go out, pick up a bumper, and return it with the same standards we expect on land. With the warm summer weather, it was easy to keep the sessions short, light, and fun, allowing each dog to build confidence and finish wanting more.
Their confidence is growing with every bumper that’s thrown into the water, and every dog is making outstanding progress. Watching these young dogs begin to put all of the pieces together is incredibly rewarding, and they’re well on their way to becoming reliable, versatile hunting companions this fall.
Needless to say, everyone is absolutely loving pond days!

Yesterday was also vet day for our Narvin’s Railway Engineer SH × Narvin’s What’s Your Name JH (Spike × Ask Her) puppies!

These little Springer Spaniels were absolute superstars for their first veterinary health checks, vaccinations, and microchipping. We’re thrilled to report that every puppy passed with flying colours and is healthy, happy, and growing exactly as we’d hoped.

This litter has been everything we could have asked for. They are confident, outgoing, incredibly affectionate, and have already shown a natural love of retrieving, carrying game wings, tracking scent, and exploring the world around them. Just as importantly, they absolutely adore people and are happiest when they’re by your side.

Temperament and health are the foundation of our breeding program. We strive to produce English Springer Spaniels that are not only exceptional hunting companions, but also loyal, loving family dogs with wonderful off-switches in the home. These puppies have all the qualities to excel in the field, enjoy a variety of dog sports, or simply become someone’s best friend on every adventure.

Judging by these photos, we’d say Dr. Victor might have developed a bit of a soft spot for these little Springer Spaniels! We can’t blame him they have a way of winning people over in a hurry.

It’s hard to believe these little ones will begin heading to their forever homes next week. The past eight weeks have gone by far too quickly, and while we’re excited for each puppy’s next chapter, it’s always bittersweet saying goodbye. We’ll be making the most of this final week together with lots of retrieves, new experiences, cuddles, and plenty of memories before they leave us.

We do have four wonderful 💙from this litter looking for families to share life’s adventures with. If you’ve been following along and would like to learn more about this breeding program or these puppies, we’d love to hear from you saskatchewanfieldbredenglishspringerspaniel

Yesterday was vet day for our FTW Emmanygan Milkybar WCI JH × Westerkames Biscuit WC (Kida × Peggy) puppies!

We’re happy to report that all six puppies passed their veterinary health checks with flying colours and received their first vaccinations. They were also microchipped and handled everything like little champions.

These puppies continue to impress us every day with their outgoing personalities, confidence, love of retrieving, and affectionate temperaments. They’re developing into exactly the kind of versatile Labrador Retrievers we strive to produce dogs that will excel as hunting companions, thrive in a variety of dog sports, and become outstanding family companions.

It’s hard to believe that next week these little ones will begin heading to their new homes. Time has flown by, and while we’re excited for each puppy and their new family, we’ll definitely miss having them around. The history of the Labrador Retriever is a pretty fascinating story. Take a couple of minutes to watch this video and let this cute little guy tell it! I promise he does a much better job than I ever could.
If you’ve ever wondered where the Labrador Retriever came from and how it became one of the world’s most popular and beloved breeds, you’re going to enjoy this one. This is also why, with our Labrador Retrievers, we only source dogs out of the UK and focus on strong UK and Irish lineage!!

Our FTW Emmanygan Milkybar WCI JH × Westerkames Biscuit WC (Kidda × Peggy) litter is now six weeks of age!

Peggy has done an outstanding job raising these six adorable puppies. They are confident, outgoing, and incredibly brave little explorers who are eager to experience everything the world has to offer.

Over the past week, they’ve been introduced to duck and pheasant wings, and to say they love them would be an understatement! They happily carry them around, pounce on them, and have quickly discovered just how much fun retrieving can be. They’re also retrieving puppy bumpers, winged bumpers, and plush toys with incredible enthusiasm, showing the natural instincts and desire we love to see at this age.

These puppies are spending more and more time outdoors each day, taking in new sights, sounds, and experiences. Their confidence continues to grow as they explore their surroundings, play with one another, and interact with people.

As much as they enjoy retrieving and exploring, they’re just as happy to soak up every cuddle, belly rub, and every bit of attention they can get. They absolutely love being with people and are proving to be affectionate, people-oriented puppies with wonderful temperaments.

This litter was bred with versatility in mind. Whether you’re looking for a dedicated hunting companion, a dog to enjoy hunt tests or other dog sports with, an adventure partner for hiking and camping, or simply an exceptional family companion, these puppies have all the qualities to excel. They possess the drive to work when asked, along with the loving, loyal personalities that make them a pleasure to live with every day.

Our field-bred English Springer Spaniel litter from Narvin’s Railway Engineer SH and Narvin’s What’s Your Name JH (Spike × Ask-Her) is now six weeks old.

Over the past week these puppies have really come into their own and are looking more and more like miniature Springer Spaniels every day. They’re thriving on solid food, growing like weeds, and making the most of every minute they spend outdoors.

We’ve recently introduced them to grouse, pheasant, and duck wings, and to say they love them would be an understatement. They proudly carry bumpers, winged bumpers, and plush toys all over the yard, eagerly retrieving them and using those incredible little noses to follow scent wherever it leads.

As much as they love to play, these puppies are just as happy curling up in your arms for cuddles and attention. They have the wonderful balance we strive for in our breeding program—enthusiastic and driven outdoors, yet affectionate, people-oriented companions in the house.

We have just two more weeks with these little ones, and we’re going to make every day count. This coming week they’ll receive their veterinary health checks and first vaccinations. After that, they’ll have their first introduction to water at the pond and even more room to explore, build confidence, and continue discovering the world around them.

Watching these puppies develop has been an absolute pleasure, and we’re excited to see their personalities continue to shine over the next couple of weeks.
