Meet Gus! 🐶He’s 9 months old and 180lbs! I get to work with him for the first time today and I’m sure he takes the record as the biggest puppy I’ve ever met!🩵😁

His family reached out for our in-home behavioural training because he’s a loving and wonderful boy, but his size is causing some trouble! I will be working with Gus’ owners to teach them how to communicate some boundaries to him. 🐕🐾

I can’t wait to meet this giant boy!

If you need help with your puppy reach out to us at www.barkbusters.ca/niagara/ or ☎️ Call 905-853-0195 to speak with a trainer today.

When a client tells me their dog follows them into every single room, cannot settle, and falls apart the moment the front door closes, - that is not devotion, that is a dog who feels responsible for you.

Our new post walks through why dogs shadow their people, how to tell sweet from stressed, and a few things you can start today to help your dog relax on their own.

It’s International Dog Day, which is bittersweet this year for my family. We lost our beautiful girl Sundae too soon. She was a dream companion, loving and so good. 🩷🩷🩷

Counter surfing is not your dog being sneaky for the fun of it. Dogs forage, your counter pays out, and one success buys you months of checking. Chasing them makes it a game, and yelling only makes your dog nervous about the kitchen.

Our new blog covers the three habits that create a counter surfer, and some basics on how we fix it in home lessons around the Niagara Region.

September is a very hard month of the year for a lot of dogs.
A whole summer of company, then an empty house at eight in the morning. That is when the barking, the chewed door frames and the puddles by the front door start, and every September I get calls about it.
Start now and your dog barely notices the change. Our new blog explains exactly how, plus how to tell boredom from real separation anxiety.

🌾“Why does my dog eat grass?” is a strangely common question we get.

Here's the short answer: it's totally normal and usually nothing to worry about. Around 80% of dogs do it at some point.

But there are a few signs that mean it's time to dig a little deeper (pun intended). We covered all of it in our latest blog: the six most common reasons, the warning signs to watch for, and simple ways to reduce it.

Check it out: https://www.barkbusters.ca/2026/07/06/why-does-my-dog-eat-grass/

Meet Tamtam! 🐾❤️
This handsome boy was rescued from overseas, and when his owners first reached out, he was terrified of the leash. They couldn’t even get it on him—let alone take him for a walk.
Fast forward to today… look at him now! 🎉 With some guidance from me and a whole lot of dedication from his amazing owners, Tamtam has completely transformed. Now, when he sees his leash, he gets excited because he knows it means adventure!
Watching rescue dogs gain confidence and learn to enjoy the world around them is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do. Tamtam’s journey is a reminder that with patience, consistency, and kindness, incredible progress is possible.
I’m so proud of this sweet boy and his wonderful family! 💙🐶
