After a fantastic soft opening over the weekend with some trusted dog enthusiasts I am ready to post the scoop on the pool!

Dog Gone Beautiful clients get first dibs for the rest of the season to book with myself (Megan). Because I am grooming full time spaces are limited but I can’t wait to give this opportunity to my amazing clients that are always so supportive of my shenanigans!🥰

For those of you who are interested but not a grooming client, don’t panic! I have teamed up with DJ at Endless Pawsibilities Dog Training who is also offering lessons for anyone who would like to give dock diving a try! To book a lesson with DJ, message her on her page, she can’t wait to get started!

Rentals: I’ve had many people ask about renting the pool right away. In order for the pool to be rented, a mandatory appointment is to be made for all first time users by either myself or DJ. This is to ensure that clients understand all safety rules associated with using the pool, to ensure that my property and business is respected, and the client has an understanding on how to properly begin training their dog the sport of dock diving. Many dogs need multiple lessons and oppportunities to gain confidence and understanding of what the game is, how to get out of the pool by using the ramp safely, they might even need to learn how to swim before they will even think about jumping off the dock, which is perfectly normal, in which case multiple lessons will be the best option before rentals are offered. Please trust the process, this is a large investment for my business and the safer we can all be together, the happier our doggos will be! Once it is deemed that you and your dog have an understanding of the game, then rentals will be offered.

I am beyond excited for this opportunity to bring dock diving to PEI! I have only been doing this sport for a short period of time, but I instantly fell in love with the community that my coaches have created at Aqua Terra Kennels and the more I meet people and their dogs who are doing this sport the more excited I am to share it! Awesome community, the BEST cheerleaders! And the BEST belly flops! Don’t be scared to give it a try!

As soon as I knew we were installing a practice pool, I promised that my service dog client Delta Mae and her owner Kayla would be my first lessons in the pool. Needless to say Delta did amazing and loved every second!

As many of you have guessed it, we have a dog pool now! It’s a little late in the season to get things rolling but now we will have a 18x38 foot practice dock diving pool on PEI! Thank you to Aqua Terra Kennels and Courtney for the amazing coaching and support! And for all my lovely friends, family, and clients that always support my craziness and of course my amazing husband Craig Waugh who always helps me bring my vision to life. We aren’t 100% done ye tbut will be in a few days! Cant wait to test it out and have other people catch the dock diving bug! More info to follow as we get things finished up and figured out!

I’ll be out of the shop from Aug 2 and returning Aug 11. I’ll be checking the phone every so often but for the most part I’ll be trying to shut my brain off for a few days 🤣

Gotta keep our seniors looking their best too❤️Jewell and Diesel certainly don’t mind the extra pampering, even though it may take a little longer, they might need a few breaks, and they might have some spriggies, they always leave feeling their best and spoiled a little extra rotten.
