WOODLAND CANADIANS
Morning count revealed two missing... They, however, saved me from having to look for them as they found themselves;)) Making sure they don't miss any young trees ( best tummy scratching idea ) Morningstar and Lancaster came right to me to say good morning.

THOSE LOVELY BAYS!
So grown up at 15 months... While his winter coat is already slowly coming in, Mikado is looking slick and soooo handsome. He stands out in the group of his all black pasture companions. He's quite dark, but the warm bay tones, especially on his face are making him easily recognizable. He resembles his older brother so much. Klassique 2.0:)

BEAUTY AND HEART
Kabriole is one of those horses you typically see on post cards, calendars, posters, computer desktops, etc. She's a camera queen and a diva. A Diva with a beautiful heart and sweetness that completely and helplessly won us over.

THIS HANDSOME DUDE
A little miracle happened today... We were able to take a few informal photos of Morningstar without the grass blades sticking out of his mouth ;)) His album hasn't been updated for ages! Low light, the perspective of another rain quite real ( what's new???), but here he is, Morningstar making it happen. What a good boy.

IT'S A BOY THING;)
Nothing like a little morning sparring match between two friends, followed by a snack made of tasty weeds;)) Mikado ( left) and Lancaster like hanging out together, their playful and friendly personalities making them great companions and playmates. They're so fun to watch!

BEAUTIFUL FOREST CREATURE...
Everything was perfect, the setting, the time of day, the light and the subject. I love this photo of Gwen... She looked like a mystical forest creature I was lucky to encounter by a complete accident:))

BREAKFAST WITH THE VIEWS;)
Another beautiful morning and a brand new day just started for Beethoven. We're getting so much rain this year... The grass is growing fast in this hot weather, well watered just about every day. Naturally, the mares across the driveway instantly gained a brand new one horse audience, and that's Mr.B who likes to have his breakfast in the beautiful company of the ladies.

A MASTERPIECE
FireFly has reached her prime... She's exactly who I thought she would become the day I saw her when she was just a wee baby. She had it straight from the start. Perhaps we're biased, but we think that Twilight did a phenomenal job...with Beethoven's help;) We just love this mare.

EVENING RITUAL
Our evening ritual of bringing the mares back for the night. They know the routine and are looking forward to resting in their barn shelter. They walk with me and one single halter is more of a formality - everyone self-loads into their paddock;))) I like to take time to simply watch them for a while... After a busy day it feels good to slow down and be in the moment with my horses.They make my heart full.
