She came with enough hair for three horses… and somehow that’s not even the best thing about her. 💖

There’s something pretty special about watching a new horse quietly settle into the rhythm of the barn.

The brushing. The braiding. A kid fussing over her. Everyone finding an excuse to stop and love on her for a minute.

And through all of it, this gorgeous Gypsy girl has just been taking everything in stride.

She is absolutely cruising through her assessment — and every day we’re learning a little more about just how lovely she is.

The feathers might catch your eye…

but I have a feeling it’s the mare underneath them that’s going to steal the show. 👀✨

My loss could be your gain!

Brownie was purchased with the intention of putting some more time into her and turning her into a nice little family horse. She’s quiet, sweet, well mannered and easy to have around.
Previously had 30-60 days of riding.

At the walk she’s fine.
Where we’ve hit a roadblock is getting her to willingly move forward into the trot and lope. She gets very sticky, and when pushed will pin her ears and occasionally threaten to buck. She has never bucked anyone off or really followed through with it, but there’s enough resistance there that we feel she’s best suited to an experienced person who can take the time to figure out why.

We suspected ulcers and treated her with GastroGard for two weeks. We saw a small improvement, but not enough to feel that we’ve gotten to the bottom of it.

Rather than continue putting time and money into figuring her out, we’re offering Brownie as-is as a project to a capable home.

She’s a really sweet little mare with lots to like. ❤️

She’s quiet, well mannered and easy to handle.
She enjoys hanging out in the barn and being brushed and lived on.
She’s not spooky, trailers well, ties quietly and is good for the farrier.
Shes good with dogs, quads, tractors and a busy farm environment.

She just needs someone willing to take her on, investigate further if needed, and give her the time and opportunity to see what they can make of her.

Sometimes the best way to show you what a horse is really like… is to just let the video speak for itself. 🥹

Because this is the stuff we love about Kash.

Being caught, brushed and fussed over. Getting the mud hosed off — and even accidentally getting sprayed right in the face 😂 — he just takes it all in stride.

When you’re a little too short to get the bridle over his ears and it takes some wiggling and rearranging… he patiently stands there and lets you figure it out. 🥹💛

My 11-year-old daughter catches him, gets him ready, climbs on and off at the mounting block and rides him around the arena — all while the cows casually graze right alongside them.

And when she’s done in the arena, she points him down the trail and off they go. 🌲💛

And Kash?

He just goes about his day.

That’s what makes this guy so easy to love.

He’s confident, sensible and forgiving. He doesn’t need everything to be perfect, and he doesn’t make a big deal out of the little things. He just seems genuinely happy to be included in whatever his person is doing.

Arena today. Trails tomorrow. A little adventure somewhere new next weekend. 🌲

He’s the kind of horse you can relax around. The kind you look forward to spending time with. The kind that makes you want to grab your saddle and see where the day takes you.

Not because every day needs to be exciting…

But because with a good horse beside you, even the ordinary days end up being the ones you remember. 🥹💛

Safe to say, she made an entrance. 😍

All that hair, those markings, those blue eyes and the sweetest little face underneath it all.
This gorgeous Gypsy Vanner girl is our newest arrival, and we’re pretty excited to get to know her. 🩷🤍

If you’ve been searching for that handsome, uncomplicated gelding you can actually get on and enjoy… well, this is the kind that can be awfully hard to find. 😍

Kash is officially ready to start looking for his person, and he checks a whole lot of boxes.

He’s kind, sensible, extremely smart and just plain enjoyable to have around. He has a great foundation and has really started to fancy up with consistent riding.

Kash is becoming noticeably softer and more supple, learning to move his shoulders and hips independently and really starting to understand how to use his body.

He has a decent stop and back-up, is working on his turnarounds and sidepass, and seems to take something away from every single ride. He’s willing, trainable and has plenty more potential for someone who wants to continue refining him.

He is currently riding W/T/C in the arena and has been safe, straightforward and enjoyable for us. Before coming here, Kash had also been used for some lessons and had done a little low-level gaming. Nothing competitive — and we’re certainly not going to pretend he was out there breaking arena records 😂 — but he’s been exposed to it and knows the general idea.

But where Kash REALLY shines is outside. 🌲🐴

This guy is just plain lovely on the trails.

He’s relaxed, sensible and happy to head wherever you point him. He’s the type you can ride out and actually enjoy the scenery on instead of wondering what might be hiding behind every suspicious-looking leaf. 😂

No need to make every ride a training session. Tack him up, point him down the trail and go have fun! ❤️

Kash would be an excellent fit for someone looking for a safe, sensible all-around gelding with enough education to enjoy now and enough potential to continue developing.

Trail ride him. Pleasure ride him. Take him camping. Keep refining him in the arena. He’s the kind of horse that can fit into a lot of different programs and just be useful and enjoyable.

And, I mean… Buckskin. 😍💛
That certainly doesn’t hurt his cause.

She has a great foundation underneath her and has been such an enjoyable mare to have around.

We think Jessie is going to make someone an excellent pleasure mount — pretty, willing, sweet and the kind you just enjoy spending time with. 🐴

When I was a little girl, I was completely obsessed with Friesians. 😍

The long hair, the big presence, the way they moved — to little-girl me, there was nothing more beautiful than a Friesian.

Fast forward all these years, and then Kiki came along. ❤️

She may only be half Friesian, with the other half Quarter Horse, but somehow she feels like a little piece of that childhood dream.

And as beautiful as she is to look at, it’s her personality that has really gotten me. She’s sweet, smart, kind, and has just enough personality to make you laugh.

Every morning and evening at feed time, Kiki is already at the gate before everyone else. She greets me with the sweetest little nicker, just to make absolutely sure I haven’t forgotten why I’m there. 😂❤️

It’s such a small thing, but I’ve come to look forward to it every day.

I know she won’t be mine forever. Eventually, she’ll leave here and become someone else’s dream.

Most of the time, I’m pretty good at that part.

But every once in a while, one sneaks in a little deeper than the rest.

I have a feeling Kiki is going to be one of those. ❤️
