Sublime Stables Sublime stables is in the process of getting our permits in place. Our goal is to have the arena open for November. Stalls will come later.

Researchers found that the Thoroughbred’s proficiency in cross country makes up for faults in the dressage and show jumping phases. The reason for this proficiency, the researchers believe, is that the Thoroughbred has been purpose-bred for speed and stamina for several centuries.

The trainer says to me let’s go to Monmouth. The fields are easier there. So we’re entered on Saturday 6 horse field and I think we’ve only made more money then 1 or 2 of the other horses. We will be running against grade one winners and others who have placed in G1 races. There’s a horse in the race that ran 2nd to Thorpedo Anna and lost by only a neck. If Majestic Oops makes it 3 in a row she will be a very special horse.

Sublime Stables had a good day at the races today. Promisemeanempire ran 2nd at Churchill Downs purse was $127,000. Drinking again won his race at Century mile, purse $21,000. In three races this year Drinking Again has won 2 and ran a close 2nd in his other start.

I like to brag about our success especially at the race track. Well today was a real bummer. Sublimes 1st time starter came back a little sore, nothing major. Oops and Downs didn’t run anywhere near her abilities.

Promisemeanempire is ready to hit the track again after just about a year off. She’s running at Churchill Downs. 1st time on the grass and in a sprint race, while she a distance runner. Sublime, Adam Ference and Janet Kropp will still be putting $ on her.

In horse racing there is some good luck. And a lot of bad luck. Pure and simple, Majestic Oops is the former - a wild and crazy success story. From winning two of her first four races - her maiden for no tag and then an impressive allowance tally, Majestic Oops went sideways for a while. At the end....
