Cat enthusiasts, check this out!
Victoria’s quirky and beloved Fernwood neighbourhood is once again rolling out the red carpet for its feline residents as the second annual Fernwood Cat Walk returns on Saturday, May 30th. 🐱
The family-friendly event invites people to wander through Fernwood while meeting dozens of local cats lounging in windows, hanging out in gardens or showing off their neighbourhood swagger from front walkways and porches.
And yes, attendees are encouraged to dress up for the occasion.
Organizers say last year’s event drew around 500 cat enthusiasts and curious visitors, and this year’s Cat Walk is expected to be even bigger, featuring 41 cats spread across 29 different “Cat Stops” throughout the neighbourhood.
The self-guided tour runs from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., but festivities kick off earlier at 1 p.m. at Little Fernwood, located at 1921 Fernwood Road, where visitors can grab maps, browse vendors and soak in the cat-themed atmosphere before heading out on the route.
