The heat wave making its way through Western Canada this week is uncomfortable for people, but pets are also struggling to make it through these hot, sunny days as well. Make sure to Practice some summer safety tips.

-Never leave your pets in a parked car even a few minutes in this heat can cause irreversible damage to your pet.

- Limit your pets Exercise on HOT days. Adjust intensity and duration of exercise in accordance with the temperature. On very hot days, limit exercise to early morning or evening hours.

These are just a couple tips from the Humane Society. there are many more on there website as well as many tips on the BC SPCA site.
