Makes me so happy

I met a wonderful man whose wife and Dachshund both passed away last year, and he has found it hard to get a Dachshund due to his age, which, in my opinion, is ridiculous. We agreed that he would adopt one of my older Dachshunds, and it all went well. We had her spayed, and with tears in his eyes, he took her home with him today.
Not only will she be loved for the rest of his life, but he has also set it up so that his son will inherit the money to take care of her for the rest of hers should he pass away before her. ❤️
There were tears, hugs, and an emotional goodbye, but my heart felt full. His last words to me were that he felt like I gave him something to live for. Such a simple act of compassion and kindness can make a huge difference in someone's life.
