Time ⏰ : 9:30am to 10am for cats only
10am to 12pm for both dogs and cats

Price 💵 : $10 cash donation that goes towards
Local animal rescue/ cats in care

🌻 Volunteer of the Month: Allie of Sunflower Pet Care! 🌻

We’re so happy to recognize Allie as our Volunteer of the Month!

Each month, Allie generously hosts nail trim events for It Takes a Village at Global Pet Foods Stittsville and at KJ's Pet Food Plus in Carleton Place, and even offers her services at additional events sometimes, always donating 100% of the proceeds and tips directly back to the rescue. 🐾

These events give our community an easy way to keep their pups’ nails trimmed while helping support the dogs in our care at the same time.

Allie, thank you for continuing to share your time, skills, and kindness with our Village month after month. We’re incredibly grateful to have you on our team! 💜🌻

It’s Jace and Piper’s birthday 💛🎉🎈

These two are 13 🥹 and here’s some fun facts about them:
-Piper is a few hours older than Jace, he was born first and Jace was born 3rd (out of 4)
-They have never been apart, they even got neutered together
-They grew up with both their real parents (Fin is their dad)
-They learned how to howl (realllllly loud) when they are left alone😂 Jace actually sounds like an air-raid siren

🐾 Foster Homes Needed

If you’ve ever looked at a cat and thought, “I wish I could help…” Well fostering is exactly that. It’s a temporary home, a soft landing, a chance for a cat to breathe and feel safe again. 🥰

It doesn’t have to be perfect. A spare room, a cozy corner, a little love. We’ll support you the whole way. 😌

Why it matters:
Cats relax, open up, and show their true personalities in a home. They get adopted faster, and your foster spot lets us say yes to the next cat waiting for help.

What we provide:
Food, supplies, vet care, guidance — everything you need so you can focus on the fun part: helping a cat feel safe and loved.
