Join us for a truly special day as we come together as a community to honour the beautiful life of Daphne while supporting a cause that continues to give dogs a second chance.

This event is more than just a fundraiser — it’s about healing, love and the power of community. Daphne's story has touched so many hearts, and through this event, her legacy will continue to make a meaningful difference.

A message from her family:

"Daphne joined our family after a very hard year — we brought her home as our “healing dog” to heal our hearts after losing our daughter in July 2023. From the start, Daphne has been pure joy: full of energy, completely lacking in spatial awareness (she’ll run into walls and glare at them like they should’ve moved), and generous with the best hugs and slobbery kisses you can imagine. At a little over a year old, she was diagnosed with fibrosarcoma. After a difficult surgery, a tumor was removed from Daphne’s spine. Several months later, Daphne is back to her normal, endless boxer energy and enthusiasm for everything. We are cherishing every moment — every zoomie, every clumsy bump into the furniture, and every hug."

There are many myths about cat rescues. As a registered charity, here’s the reality:

❌ We do not receive government funding.
❌ We have no paid employees — we are 100% volunteer-run.
❌ We do not make a profit. Every dollar goes directly to veterinary care, food, and essential supplies.
❌ We are not “crazy cat people.” We operate responsibly, within our capacity, and prioritize veterinary care, proper nutrition, cleanliness, and overall health.
❌ We do not euthanize for space. Our mission is to save lives whenever medically and humanely possible, and we work diligently to meet or address each cat’s medical needs.

We don’t always get everything right, but we try our very best. Our philosophy is simple: cat homelessness and rescue are community efforts. We’re all in this together — because we love cats and because kindness matters.

Cat rescue is powered by compassion, community support, and countless unpaid hours. If you’ve ever donated, adopted, fostered, or shared our posts, then you’re a cat rescuer too.
