Simcoe and District Humane Society relies heavily on volunteers to keep the shelter running. Kennel attendants to handle cleaning and feeding, dog walkers, event helpers- we have a variety of volunteer roles to fill.

Throughout the month of May we are hoping to add to our volunteer team, in preparation of the busier months with kitten season, the influx of dogs we have been seeing in recent months, and the events and fundraisers we have planned over the next few months.

Students over 16 are welcome to join the volunteer team at the shelter to fulfill their community service hours, and we also have plenty of things that the older generations can help with as well.

Those interested can email [email protected].

Yearly, Long Point Pest Control sprays the shelter property for ticks. It is such an important part of the property maintenance so that our pets and visiting furry friends and humans stay Tick Free.
