Notice

Unfortunately due to an overwhelming increase in short notice cancelations, no shows, and skipped appointments. (Haven't had a full week since before Christmas) I am fearful this is becoming a trend.

I fully understand we are all in a challenging financial landscape however I need to work to protect my business and livelihood.

I must implement an addition to my current policies.

If you skip an entire appointment there will need to be an added fee at your pets next groom. This is to cover the added effort to complete with added time, wear on equipment, volume of products consumed and increased physical demand on myself.

If you miss 2 full appointments in a calendar year unfortunately I will have to remove your pet from my schedule to allow room to bring in new clients to ensure consistent scheduling.

I Appreciate you all and really hope it would not come to that however sadly I currently have multiple clients where I will be seeing them only once in 8 months. This I can only hope you can understand is not sustainable for a business.

I have tried so many times to say this with kindness and respect and yet it fails to be acknowledged and accepted.

So I guess I have to say it this way,

It is expected that you as an adult are responsible and behave with a level of adult responsibility.

It is expected that you mark down your appointments and SHOW UP!

It is expected that if you fail to complete the above expectations then you "man" up to your mistake and you honour and respect my policies, my services, and my business and pay the fee associated with not showing up.

Your apologies are appreciated but they DON'T PAY my bills!

If you don't want to pay for a service you are not getting then simply be responsible and SHOW UP!

I don't like charging for a service I haven't done but will if you can't be respectful and attend your appointments.

If you choose not to honour my policies then please move on I don't need clients that cost me money, and don't show respect for the service I work so hard to provide.

Client notice

I just wanted to remind you all that if I need to charge my short notice cancelation or no show fee it's not personal or out of anger.

I literally cannot afford to provide fair prices and take the financial hit of lost income due to short notice cancelations or no show appointments.

This is my career, it's my main source of income even though I run it from my home. it's not a side job or extra money. It pays my bills (which unfortunately have been on the steady rise as I'm sure you are also experiencing).

I would 100% love to exempt everyone of you from the fee because I understand how much it sucks to pay for something you are not getting. It's why I would rather just work and provide the service your paying for. Or try to accommodate a switch (which sometimes isn't possible, but I will always try). However if I don't charge the fee and recoup loses it will mean I will have to seek employment outside of my business and this will impact the days I am available and the amount of clients I can continue to see. It may ultimately mean the closing of Spaw-Fect Grooming all together, which I hope to avoid.

I appreciate each and everyone of you and hope you understand. As a gentle reminder and recommendation it's good practice to place your appointment dates in your phones calendar with a reminder set for a week before to give a heads up with plenty of time to adjust if needed and avoid the policy fee.

Just a reminder

Please remember it is your responsibility to remember your appointment. My reminders are a courtesy and although I try my best to provide them they are not there to use as an excuse if I fail to provide one for your missed appointment. It is your responsibility to mark your appointment down in a place where you put important dates to remember. Maybe even place a reminder on your phone.
