Introductory Mammal Taxidermy Course
This comprehensive course encompasses the entire taxidermy process, ranging from skinning to the final finishing touches on your mammal specimen. Our chosen subject for instruction is the Marten, skillfully mounted on a form meticulously sculpted world renowned Ken Walker. Limited to a select group of 6 students per session, this course will be led by two proficient instructors, Chantelle Theriault and the second is my assistant, we may also be adding a third instructor.
Upon completion of the course, each participant will retain their personally mounted Marten, accompanied by a detailed instructional booklet outlining the step-by-step procedures covered throughout the program. Additionally, participants will receive guidance on essential tools for taxidermy, including information on local and specialized suppliers.
Lunches are provided for the course days, we start at 9 and end at 5 pm each day. There is a possibility to run long some days and finish early on the last day.
The tuition for this course is $3000 + GST, with a 25% non-refundable deposit required to secure enrollment by February 1, 2026. The remaining 75% of the fee is due the day prior to the commencement of the course February 8, 2026.
This course will be held at our shop near Alberta Beach.
