We thought we’d re-feature Jake on this Sunday Funday in hopes the right person may see him! Jake is a sweet, friendly, playful, and goofy guy who is so ready to find his furever home. ❤️ Just look at how handsome he is in his little bandana! 😍 He’s a 5-year-old shepherd/mix with a great personality! He likes to be near you and get pets, he likes to give hugs to his people, and he’s good at keeping himself entertained if needed. He loves his outside time - whether he’s doing zoomies in the yard, following his nose around exploring, or going on a walk with you! He also likes when you chase him for playtime. 😆 He’s good with other dogs but does need a home without cats. He would be fine with respectful kids, too! Please apply if you’d like to meet him. 🥰

Another Caturday cutie for you 😺 - Meadow is still searching for her furever home! Meadow is a 5-year-old girl who has been with us for over six months now, and we’d sure love to help her find her purrfect place. She is sweet and spunky - she likes to get pets and loves to perch on the cat tree to sunbathe and look out the window, but she can also have a bit of cattitude and be a little sassy when she feels like it. 😆❤️ Meadow prefers to be the only pet in the home, she would do great in a calm environment. Happy Caturday! We’ve got a new group of adoptable kittens for you today - and they’re floofs! 😺 Fuzzabelle, Puffin, Snugglepuff, and Nimbus came to us as scared kittens after being found outside. We sent them into foster care where they could get lots of love and attention, and now they’re ready for their furever homes! Our Happy Tail this week is from a special pup named Rorie! His adopter says:

“We adopted Rorie in June 2024. We wanted to see another dog, but she had been adopted by the previous appointment to us. The shelter staff suggested we come in anyway to see if anyone else may be a good fit.

When they brought Rorie out I was instantly in love, however still hesitant after losing my previous canine best friend almost two years ago. After bringing him home (actually back to camp as we were on a week’s vacation) I knew very quickly he was a special guy.

Back in our hometown, after a couple of training courses and lots of at home training, Rorie passed his evaluation as a Therapy Dog at just one year of age. He and I have been visiting long term care facilities and retirement homes spreading his unconditional love. He likes meeting his therapy dog friends, enjoys pets, and performing his tricks for the residents he visits. As a person who lives with vision loss, Rorie is not a guide dog but he does his best to keep us from getting into any trouble. When he isn’t doing his therapy work, he fetches a toy (any type of toy) no less than 103 times per day and jumps on the paddle board with me at camp.

It just shows how much any dog can do for us and others no matter their background.”

We’re so happy that Rorie ended up in the wonderful home he did! Thank you to his family for sharing this happy update with us. ❤️🐾

Happy Feel Good Friday! It’s time for our weekly adoptions update - all of these lucky shelter pets found homes in the past week. 🙌🏻 Happy Tails to: Stitch, Alfredo, Ferrari, Mustard, French Vanilla, Piper, Tulip, Tobey, and Leo! 😺🐶🐭🐹❤️🐾

A special shoutout to Tobey who found his furever home after six months in our care! 🥰

Stitch, Ferrari, and Tulip were all adopted after being seen at our local Pet Valu stores - which means there are new kitties out there for you to meet! Head to Pet Valu Trunk Road to meet Good Charlotte, Pet Valu Great Northern to meet Astrid, and Pet Valu Second Line to meet Clarice. 😺😊

Hello from sweet River! River is an 8-year-old girl who is searching for her soft place to land. ❤️‍🩹 You can tell that she hasn’t had the easiest life - it was clear when she came to us that she recently had puppies, which is so hard on a dog her age who should get to BE the baby, not have babies! Despite everything she may have been through, she is the sweetest girl. ❤️ All she wants is love and to be near you! She walks nicely on a leash and enjoys walks, but is also content just to be your snuggle-buddy. If you’d like to give River the comfy life she deserves, please apply! 🐾

Happy Whisker Wednesday from Paprika! Do you have extra towels at home that we could take off your hands for the shelter pets? 😺 We are pretty well stocked on all other bedding, but could use some help with towels. If you have any to donate, please stop by the shelter any day between 12-5 (including weekends!) and we’ll gladly accept them. 😊🐾
