We’re excited to welcome **Dr. Tracy Satchell** to the teams at Bright’s Grove Animal Hospital and Official Sarnia & District Humane Society !

Dr. Satchell is a 2010 graduate of the Ontario Veterinary College and brings over a decade of experience in companion animal and shelter medicine. Her advanced training includes a Graduate Certificate and Master of Science in Shelter Medicine from the University of Florida—reflecting her deep commitment to improving the lives of animals in both clinical and shelter settings.

She is passionate about building programs that blend high-quality care with community accessibility. Whether working in a shelter or a clinic setting, Dr. Satchell believes that every animal deserves compassionate, evidence-based treatment.

Adopted ❤️

Harley is looking for his forever home. He came to us with a very injured eye and in a lot of pain.

Unfortunately, it was too late to save his eye so it had to be removed. He is feeling much better, adapting well and is full of love to give. He is a senior boy, approx. 12 years young and is neutered.

Lady Bug Alert 🚨🚨

Lady bug is wondering why all her babies are now officially adopted but no one wants her. 🥺

Lady bug is about 1-2 years old and she’s the sweetest girl ever!! She loves attention and would love the opportunity to share her love with her furrever family.
She would do better in a quieter household with maybe an older dog that wouldn’t chase her (but she would need a slow introduction to them).
Also shall I add that she is good with kids!

Perks of adopting an older cat
1) Less of a time commitment. Kittens require a lot of socialization and can take a lot of your time training
2) Calmer temperament, adult cats aren’t as active as kittens and they’ve entered a more laid back time of their lives
3) Better choice for young children
4) Good litter box habits
5) Less destructive behavioural
6) Emotional benefits
7) Many more reasons but we’d be here all day listing

They juggle phone calls, appointments, and client questions all while keeping the front desk running smoothly like pros! 💼🐶 Their compassion, organization, and dedication help create a warm and welcoming environment for both pets and their people 🐕🐱. They’re often the ones offering comfort during tough moments and celebrating the joyful ones right alongside our clients 🎈. We’re lucky to have **three incredible receptionists** who go above and beyond every single day 🌟. Meet our baby bugs! 🐞 🦋 🦗

Our foster mama, Ladybug, has had 6 kittens and they are so adorable! They are 3 weeks old now and will be available for adoption mid-may. So will mama cat, she is abosultely wonderful and would make the best companion for any family.

They will come with vaccines, deworming, microchip and at a later date be spayed/neutered. If you would like to come meet them, please call the clinic ahead of time.

We are so excited to watch them grow! 🩵

Chubby cheek alert! 🔔 💛

Meet Chubby cheeks! This guy truly takes after his name, we haven’t seen these big of cheeks on a cat in a long time. He came to us from the Official Sarnia & District Humane Society needing entropion surgery to correct his lower eyelids from rolling into his eyes. This can be very painful, so we knew he needed our help.

Now, he is the happiest boy and feeling much better! He is now available for adoption and looking for a new family 🏠
