We’re proud to share that on June 4th, one of our RVTs, Carly, will be heading to the Yukon with the Canadian Animal Assistance Team (CAAT) for a volunteer veterinary outreach trip to the community of Pelly Crossing, YT! Pelly Crossing is a three hour drive north of Whitehorse.
Carly has been a member of CAAT since 2019, and this will be her 6th volunteer trip with the organization!
CAAT is a Canadian volunteer-based non-profit that partners with remote and underserved communities to provide access to veterinary care where services are often limited or unavailable. Through community clinic events, CAAT helps provide essential veterinary services such as spay/neuter programs and preventative care, while also supporting long-term, community-driven animal care plans. Their mission goes beyond temporary care - they work alongside local leaders to help communities build sustainable animal care programs that can continue to grow and thrive for years to come.
We’re incredibly proud of Carly for dedicating her time and skills to helping both animals and communities across Canada.
