Tulip Sessions Cancelled.
I have just been made aware that tulips can be toxic for dogs. The toxic compounds ( primarily tulipalin A and B) are concentrated in the bulb, but stems, leaves, and flowers are also harmful .
Severity depends on how much was eaten. Chewing on a flower or leaf is less dangerous than eating a bulb, but any ingestion can be dangerous.
Although if your pup is fully supervised during a visit, the risk is low, I would not want to take that risk.
