Come visit us at our gorgeous boutique hospital facility on the corner of Gilbert Road and Francis Road in Richmond, BC. We are a family run veterinary hospital, founded in 1974 by Dr Breanne Galloway’s late father (Dr Robert Galloway). We currently have three veterinarians on staff: Dr. Breanne Galloway (of course), Dr. Teresa Millar who has been with us since 2005 and Dr. Robin Goodman who recently joined the team in 2024.

Meet Manny, Dr. Donovan’s beloved 4-year-old rescue! ❤️

Manny came all the way from Northern Manitoba, and we think he’s the perfect mix of Shepherd, Malinois, Husky and Lab — although his personality is 100% Manny! 🐶

He loves lounging in every season, playing in the water and snow, and searching for the absolute best sticks to carry around.

He has the perfect combination of high energy and athleticism and happily joins his family on runs of up to 10K 🏃‍♀️🐕 — but he’s equally thrilled to spend the day curled up on the couch. 😂

Manny lives with two cats: one who is his best friend and another who is firmly in charge of the household. 😹👑

He’s also got an impressive sense of time. Every evening at 8 PM, if he hasn’t received his dental treat, he takes matters into his own paws and comes over to pull the socks right off his humans’ feet.

Manny is also a seasoned road-trip adventurer and joins the family on all their travels. And perhaps his most important job of all… he was the “Best Man-ny” at Dr. Donovan’s wedding! 💍🐾❤️

We think it’s safe to say Manny is one very loved rescue dog. 🥰

🦷 Could Your Pet Be Hiding Dental Pain?

Pets are incredibly good at masking pain, and dental disease is one of the most common conditions we see. Many dogs and cats continue eating and acting "normal" even when their mouths are causing them significant discomfort.

Here are a few subtle signs that your pet may be experiencing dental pain:

🐾 Bad breath that doesn't go away
🐾 Dropping food while eating or chewing on one side
🐾 Eating more slowly or showing less interest in hard food or treats
🐾 Excessive drooling
🐾 Pawing at the mouth or rubbing their face
🐾 Red, swollen, or bleeding gums
🐾 Yellow or brown tartar buildup on the teeth
🐾 Changes in behaviour, such as becoming quieter, grumpier, or less playful

Remember, pets don't have to stop eating to be in pain. Many adapt by chewing differently or simply living with the discomfort.

The good news? Dental disease is both preventable and treatable. Regular dental exams can help catch problems early, keeping your pet comfortable and healthy.
