CARE Animal Rescue: Helping Cats and Communities Across the Ottawa Valley!
This year, CARE once again teamed up with the Ontario SPCA and Humane Society Renfrew County/Neuter Scooter to host Spring and Fall spay/neuter clinics. Together, we helped 40 cats from Renfrew and the surrounding area, and we hope to bring the program back next spring.
As the colder weather sets in, CARE is also providing food to caregivers of feral cat colonies in the Calabogie area. Our goal is simple: no cat should go hungry or cold this winter.
About a month ago, we also began supplying cat food to the Renfrew Food Bank, and we've already seen a huge need for both canned food and kibble. Every Tuesday, our volunteers stock the shelves to make sure there's enough for everyone who comes in. For many pet owners in our community, this program makes a real difference.
