Sweet Althea is needing a forever home!

This four month old girl came into care with a severe case of mange. We couldn’t even tell what breed she was because her hair was gone! 😭

We are so happy she is feeling better now!

She does good in her kennel and is almost at 100% for going outside!

This is what her foster says about her personality!

Althea is so happy and joyful all the time! Althea had a rough start, arriving with mange & infection but she has overcome it all and has a clean bill of health, and it shows. She is cute & playful and loves to play with anybody or dog that is willing! Althea's favourite toys include cereal boxes, empty milk jugs, and water bottles inside old socks. Her fav activities include chewing on her toys & bones (hasn't destroyed single thing!), wrestling and being outside. She loves all the snuggles & pets too though. She sleeps by herself on a dog bed in our room at night, but looks for morning cuddles. She is incredibly smart so training won't be a problem. She is doing great on recall so far and sits for her meals. She is good with all dogs & children, but has not been around cats as far as we know. Althea is adorable, sweet, & clever and everyone absolutely loves her. We know her perfect family is just waitijg to find her!

Kennel Training: Has really progressed with her kennel training and has become her safe place!
House Training: We take her out often, hasn’t learned to signal yet!
Personality: Prefers to have people around wherever she goes and will follow you around. Playful and gets along with the senior dog and cat, there have been no concerns! She’s cuddly when tired. Likes to play and chase toys around. Is content with being around humans and does not like being alone.

Medical Care: Round one vaccine and two rounds of dewormer.

Jeanie came into care with her three puppies and Logan who is the dad!

We were contacted by someone who was able to grab the puppies as they were wandering around a ball tournament looking for food. They were concerned about the skinniness of the parents as well so we went out to grab them!

Now Jeanie has gained some weight and ready to find a family!

Jeanie is around a year old and ONLY 40 pounds!! She is the perfect size for someone who wants a smaller medium sized dog!!

Jeanie loves getting pets but prefers to come up to you instead of vice versa, but is so excited to get the attention when you give it! ❤️

She LOVES to play, she is either wrestling with the other dogs or in a game of tug-of-war! If she isn’t playing she is curled up in her dog bed taking a nap!

She has met kids and absolutely no concerns there! We do not think she would be good with cats or small animals that are not dogs as she becomes very focused on them while in the yard!

We know her forever home is out there! Please share!

Kennel training: Beau stays out during the day with no issues chewing on anything or getting into anything. He likes to chill in the living room with his foster sister when his foster parents aren’t home.

House training: Beau is completely house trained and doesn’t have accidents in the house. He goes outside every 4-6 hours and doesn’t need to go outside during bedtime.

Personality: Beau is a very lovable boy! He loves attention and gentle pets from his people and don’t think about stopping once you start. He loves a good cuddle and he is a great walker on a leash! He went camping and just hung out next to his human the whole time! Beau does good with other dogs and cats (given that they don’t get in his face, then he sets boundaries). He does well with a 4 year old child in the home running around.
Beau was found in a dumpster and he deserves a home that will love him and spoil him because he deserves it.

Medical: Dewormed, neutered, vaccinated. Medical Note: Beau came into care with several lumps on his chest. The vet determined he had some bites marks or wounds that became infected. After some antibiotics he has been medically cleared.

Kennel Training: Logan is fully kennel trained! He needs convincing to go in if you are not willing to offer a treat haha. He is quiet in his kennel and patiently waits for you to let him out!

House Trainer: Fully house trained, we have a doggy door that he can use when we are home. Lasts all night without needing to go out!

Personality: Logan is such a quiet sweet guy. He has come a long way since coming into care and presented as more of a shy guy. He quickly warmed up and is usually laying right beside me or following me around. Logan loves other dogs! He loves playing with his foster brother Bowser, especially tug-of-war!! Logan sometimes likes to use his mouth to show affection, we have been working hard on this and he is doing so much better! He sleeps on the couch at night with no concerns but can be a busy body during the day and does better left in a kennel while you are out! He is happy to give you kisses at anytime! Logan has been around kids with no concerns, has not been around cats.

Medical: Dewormed, neutered, vaccinated. Medical Note: Logan had to have his tail removed due to it being dislocated and fractured. No future concerns about this.

Kennel Training: Fully kennel trained! Happy to go in her kennel with a treat but has learned that “kennel” means she needs to go in! Great in her kennel, quiet, and patiently waits for you to let her out!

House Training: Fully house trained! Jeanie prefers to spend time hanging in the backyard watching the litter critters. She knows how to use the dog door and has not had an accident inside.

Personality: Jeanie is a shy girl but so sweet! She used to run if I was to walk by, now she has learned she is in a safe place! She loves to come to you and not vice versa but is ready to come whenever you want to give her pets! She is very independent, a lot of the time I can find her in the backyard watching the squirrels and birds or sunning herself. She LOVES her dog bed and will spend a ridiculous amount of time nibbling it, she doesn’t ruin it though! She is great with other dogs! She loves to play and is often tussling her foster sister Romy (who is also up for adoption!). She has met kids with no concerns!! I do not think she will be good with cats or small animals that are not dogs. She becomes very focused on them.

We got some cute new faces ready to join your family!

All three of these cuties were found in the same community as strays. Skinny and just trying to survive! 😭

Logan is a lab mix who unfortunately needed to have his tail amputated due to an injury. Logan is 24.8 kgs and ready to be your shadow. He is happy to follow you around and lay by you.

Jeanie was found with Logan and is a collie mix who weighs 18.2 kgs! Jeanie is a girl who is more shy but so happy to get pats from you. She has come a long way since being in care!

Oh Beau. Beau was found in a big Lorras bin. We think he jumped in hoping to find some food. He was extremely lucky a director decided to look in the bins! Beau had multiple lumps all over his body from suspected bites that become infected. He is doing great now and just loves his people! This cutie weighs in at 27.9 kgs.

We are so excited that these guys are ready for their forever home!

Kennel Training: Poppy is Kennel trained. She goes in with no problem.

House Training: Poppy is fully trained and will go to the door when she needs to go out.

Personality: Poppy has got the energy of a puppy. She likes to play with other dogs. Poppy entertains herself by playing with her toys and loves to get a squeaky toy and make a lot of noise.
When Poppy arrived she used her mouth a lot to get attention. We have been working at breaking this habit and she is improving. She is young and immature and while she loves other dogs, she has a hard time respecting other dogs boundaries. We have been working very hard on this!

Poppy has learned to sit for her treats.

When Poppy wants attention she will come to you and at times will climb right up on you. She likes a cuddle and a good belly rub. Poppy likes playing in the pool water, she likes to go for walks and does very well, she is a good little walker!

Poppy is ready to give all her love to her forever family.

Kennel Training: Cactus is fed in her kennel. It's her safe space and she will go in when she needs a break.

House Training: She is fully house trained. We have a dog door and she will let herself out when she needs to go.

Personality: Cactus has been through alot since coming to us but you would not know it will all her love and affection. She loves a cuddle on the couch or a big belly rub.
She is still figuring out the difference between what is a toy and what is not. She loves a good play with her foster siblings and soaking up all the love from everyone she meets. She is always there to cheer you up with a good cuddle and kisses. If you are looking for a big cuddle monster, she is the one for you!

Medical: Vaccinated, dewormed, spayed. Medical Note: Cactus came in very swollen with quills. It has been a long journey and still has quills coming out which could happen for a long time. Cactus limps on and off on her right paw. She has had X-rays and there seems to have been a quill or a quill coming out.
