ACOR COVID-19 Client Update
The CVMA & ACOR both agree that veterinary medical services are an essential service to our clients, patients and the community itself. In order to help us maintain the ability to provide these services to the best of our capabilities, we are implementing new protocols and making changes to some of our existing protocols. As this situation and these decisions are being made as events become known, we advise you to check back frequently for updates. We will continue to routinely update both our page and our website to help reduce incoming calls. We encourage you to check online for new information before calling the clinic directly. The following protocols have deemed to be necessary to implement at this time:
We are requesting that ANY clients exhibiting ANY symptoms of illness do not come into the clinic for any reason. If you are unable to find anyone to come to the clinic for you, please call us to discuss options.
* Any clients that have traveled out of province in the last two weeks are also asked not to enter the premises.
* We would appreciate all clients to limit the number of family members they bring with them for any clinic visits. Ideally, only 1 person should accompany the pet to the clinic.
* When you come to the clinic, please stay in your car and call us to check in with our receptionist. We will call you back or come out to get you when the veterinarian is ready.
* We accept Debit, Visa and MasterCard. If you have only cash at the time of your visit, we will accept it for now but ask you to please bring an alternative method of payment at any subsequent visits.
* We are going to increase our waiting period for prescription refills to 48 hours and will limit medication needs to a two month supply. Special order prescription items will now need a five day order/ receive time frame.
* Food purchases will also be limited to a two month supply based on purchasing history. Special order food items will now need a five day order/ receive time frame as well.
* We are restricting our surgery schedule to essential surgeries only effective March 23rd, 2020. All clients who have pets with procedures booked that we need to cancel will be contacted by phone.
****** DELIVERY IS NOW AVAILABLE ON TUESDAY AND THURSDAY AFTERNOONS!!
* We are currently working on instituting website orders and telemedicine. Please check back for further updates as these services become available.
