Everyone loved Kevin. Now meet Riggs ! This handsome serama cockerel has already started his house chicken training! He’s the first one to come and see you and ask to be picked up 😊 hopefully he’ll be flying to our shoulders when we call in no time ! 😌

I’ve been pretty lucky with farm dogs in my life thankfully.
And if you know me you know Valor has been my right hand for the last 8 years (with any luck 8 years more!)
Waylon has already shown such great maturity in following her paw prints. While it’s bitter sweet - it’s good to see the next line move forward with the same energy, mentality and promise. We really couldn’t be anymore happy with what this pup is already proving.

When we finally decided to make our way back to Canada, I made the extremely hard choice to part with my birds. Programs that I lost sleep over . Birds that cost more than I’d like to admit. Birds I spent years looking for. Companions I had raised and trained.

For 4 days I sat as still as I could in a big dually loaded with 3 dogs, 2 adults and a child and my entire life in the back all over again.

On the 4th day we made it to the new house the incubators got plugged in and set up. 21 days later - out of 20 eggs - 5 serama babies popped out.

Now usually I would be bummed - 5 out of 20. But - these eggs were bumped around. Had light changes of temp. And were put under stress.

These 5 serama babies are literally the new foundation of The funny farm right here in beautiful Alberta .

Also due to the low amount I will not be offering any of these babies up for discussion. Purely just eye candy at this point.

My first batch of Serama babies here in alberta 😍

We have one straggler still attempting to come out. Day 23 and just now pipped through the air sac. Crossing my fingers for it to be hatching soon.

T- 3 days until our first Alberta batch of serama hatch!
These are lines you are going to want for your breeding pens. These are lines you simply cannot find here in Canada.

Very excited for these babies - and did I mention - possible Kevin siblings 🥹🥹🥹 I will be starting house chicken training with these babies because it’s just too cold for them to be outside .

And who can guess what the next addition to the funny farm will be? A good hint would be “clip clop, clip clop”

How cute is this first satin serama baby that one of my amazing customers hatched?

Having a chicken business is so much easier when you have amazing clients who love your chickies as much as you do. It makes my heart happy to see people get so excited about their babies 🥹🩷
