Sunshine Coast Search and Rescue (ground SAR), including Coast’s own dog-handler team, played a key role in locating a missing woman during an overnight search on Nelson Island this weekend, after Powell River SAR requested mutual aid early morning on Sunday, March 15.

Five ground SAR members, including handler Joyce Tattersail and K9 Zulu, joined the teams from Powell River and Comox Valley in what SCAR manager Dave Steers described as “a collaborative affair.”
