A reminder 🐶 :
It’s important for your dog to be in good health before boarding and here are a few key reasons:

1️⃣ To Prevent Illness Spread

Boarding facilities often house many dogs in close quarters. If your dog is sick, they can easily spread contagious diseases like kennel cough, a virus, or parasites to other dogs.

2️⃣ Stress Weakens the Immune System

Being away from home can be stressful for a dog. If they are already sick or have a weakened immune system, that stress can make their condition worse or delay recovery.

3️⃣ To Ensure Proper Care

Boarding facilities may not be equipped to handle serious medical issues. We are a smaller facility so we catch things quickly and deal accordingly, however if your dog has an underlying health condition, in a bigger kennel, it may go unnoticed or untreated

4️⃣ To Avoid Emergency Situations

If a health problem arises while your dog is being boarded, it can lead to an emergency that’s costly, stressful for your pet, and hard for you to manage from far away. This is also why its important to have your emergency contact up to date but if one is not available for you, we will always provide the proper care for your pet.

5️⃣ For a Pawsitive Experience

A healthy dog is more likely to enjoy the boarding experience—playing, eating, and sleeping well—rather than feeling unwell or anxious. We are pro-anti anxiety meds to help your dog adjust and have fun while boarding, No one likes to be on vacation feeling scared, nervous or crummy!

6️⃣ Facility Requirements

We require proof of vaccinations, flea/tick meds and may even suggest a health screening for your senior pet. This helps keep all animals safe.

❤️ We love caring for all your pets but sometimes situations come up and the more prepared we are, the better experience your pet will have while on their own vacation 🐾
