Time to try again !!

My job is to plant the seed of information through education. Your job as a pet owner is to investigate on your own, ask questions and look at the actual facts.

This is such an important topic that more dog owners need to be aware of.

Laser pointers might seem like harmless fun, but for many dogs they can actually create serious behavioural issues over time. Unlike a toy or prey item they can physically catch, the laser dot constantly triggers a dog’s prey drive without ever giving them the satisfaction of completing the chase.

For some dogs, this can lead to:
• Obsessive light or shadow chasing
• Increased anxiety and frustration
• Hypervigilance around reflections and movement
• Difficulty settling or relaxing
• Compulsive behaviours that can continue long after the laser is gone

What often starts as “cute” or entertaining can quickly turn into an unhealthy fixation, especially in high-drive or sensitive dogs.

If you want to play chase games with your dog, use toys they can actually catch, bite, carry, and “win.” Fulfillment matters just as much as exercise.

Please reconsider using laser pointers with dogs. The behavioural fallout can be very real. 🐾

Not the update we were hoping to share 💔

We took Greta in for a pregnancy ultrasound today (I just couldn’t wait any longer), and unfortunately… there are no puppies this time.

To say we’re disappointed would be an understatement. I was so looking forward to this next litter and sharing that entire journey with our new puppy families. 🐾

For now, we’ll take a step back and try again in a few months with Steely. In the meantime, our boy Timo will also be heading in for a check-up just to make sure everything is good on his end.

I know many of you were just as excited as we were, and we truly feel that support. ❤️ This isn’t the first time we’ve experienced this, and I know other German Shepherd breeders who’ve gone through the same thing. Sometimes, it’s just nature’s way of keeping things in balance.

Thank you all for being on this journey with us—we’ll keep you updated every step of the way. 🐶✨

Join us LIVE in about an hour for Greta’s pregnancy test results 🤞We will find out together 😊

She thought she found a loophole… front end off the bed, back legs still on. 😅
Nice try.

One simple cue — and she carefully steps all the way off.

Smart dogs don’t just learn commands… they learn boundaries. And consistency makes all the difference. 🐾
