Beginning June 23rd, the hours at our Deep River Animal Services will be changing.

Our new hours will be:

🐾 Mondays: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
🐾 Tuesdays: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
🐾 Wednesdays: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
🐾 Thursdays: 9:00 AM- 4:00 PM
🐾 Fridays: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Louis recently visited Dr. Bick at our Deep River Clinic for his final puppy booster vaccines, and we couldn't resist sharing this handsome guy with all of you. Those big eyes and that adorable snoot are just begging for a boop! 🥰👆🐶

Completing a puppy's vaccine series is an important step in helping keep them healthy and protected as they grow. Louis was an excellent patient, and we loved getting to see him for this milestone visit.

Some patients leave paw prints on our floors, while others leave paw prints on our hearts that remain forever.

Today, we take a moment to remember and honour the beloved companions who have crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Each one of these precious souls was more than a patient to us—they were family members, best friends, loyal companions, and cherished parts of the lives they touched.

We know that saying goodbye is one of the hardest decisions a pet parent will ever make. It is a final act of love, given with a heavy heart and endless devotion. While their time with us is never long enough, the love, memories, and joy they leave behind stay with us forever.

To the families who entrusted us with their pets' care, thank you. We share in your grief and your memories. We remember the wagging tails, gentle purrs, happy greetings, and unique personalities that made each of them so special.

Run free, sweet friends. Chase the butterflies, bask in the sunshine, and know that you are deeply missed and forever loved. Until we meet again at the Rainbow Bridge. ❤️🌈

🐾 RABIES VACCINE CLINIC – SATURDAY, JULY 4TH! 🐾

Pembroke Animal Hospital in partnership with Whiskers and Alley Cats is pleased to offer a low-cost rabies vaccine clinic for members of our community whose pets require their rabies vaccination.

📅 Saturday, July 4th
📍 Pet Learning Centre (located behind Pembroke Animal Hospital – use the door with the stairs at the back of the building)
🐱 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM: Cats Only
🐶🐱 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM: Dogs & Cats Welcome
💉 Rabies Vaccine: $50 (taxes included)

Please note:
✔️ Pets must be healthy to receive their vaccine.
✔️ No physical examinations will be performed.
✔️ Vaccines will be administered by our Registered Veterinary Technicians.
✔️ This is a first-come, first-served clinic. No appointment times will be assigned.
✔️Cats must be in a carrier and dogs on a leash for pet safety
✔️ Fearful or aggressive pets should be seen by their regular veterinarian, as this is an open clinic setting where pets may encounter other animals.
✔️ Participation in this clinic does not establish a client-patient relationship with Pembroke Animal Hospital, Mohns Ave Veterinary Services, or Deep River Animal Services.

Pepper came to see Dr. Paquette for his annual check-up and vaccinations, and we have to say... we're not entirely convinced there's a dog under all that beard! 😆

Seriously, Pepper's beard might just be bigger than he is! ❤️🐶

Despite his impressive facial hair, Pepper was an excellent patient and made sure everyone got a good look at his magnificent whiskers while he was here. Annual wellness exams and vaccinations are an important part of keeping our furry friends healthy and ready for all of life's adventures.

This handsome guy came in to see Dr. Felix for his annual check-up and vaccinations. We're happy to report that Marty was a superstar patient and took everything in stride.
