365 Days for Lucky… and We’re Still Waiting for His Happy Ending!
Today marks ONE WHOLE YEAR since Lucky arrived at the shelter!!!! Yes you read that right! 365 days!!! A full trip around the sun. And honestly... how is that even possible?!
For a dog named Lucky, his journey hasn’t exactly lived up to his name so far. But maybe that’s because his luck hasn’t happened yet. Maybe one of you is about to change that!
When Lucky first came to us, he was terrified of everything. He had spent his life confined to a single small bedroom and knew nothing of the world beyond those four walls. New sights, sounds, people, and experiences were all overwhelming. But look at him now!
🐾 Walks beautifully on a leash
🐾 House trained
🐾 Kennel trained
🐾Loves his canine friends
🐾Professional couch snuggler
🐾Expert binge watcher of Hudson & Rex
In other words, Lucky is already someone's dream dog. When he’s not hanging out at the shelter, Lucky enjoys frequent slumber parties with one of our staff members, who describes him as the ultimate Velcro dog. Once he trusts you, he wants nothing more than to be by your side whether that’s going for an adventure, curling up on the couch, or simply keeping you company.
Lucky would thrive in a quieter home where he can continue building confidence at his own pace. Another friendly dog would be a huge bonus and help him settle into family life even faster.
What breaks our hearts is that after all the progress he’s made, after all the love he has to give, nobody has given him a chance yet!! And don’t forget we offer trials! What do you even have to lose?!
No dog deserves to spend 365 days waiting for a family. Lucky has been patient. He has been brave. He has worked so hard to overcome his past. Now all he needs is someone willing to see the incredible dog he has become.
Please help us find Lucky his forever home. Share his story. Tell your friends. Spread the word.
Somewhere out there is the person who's been looking for a gentle, loyal soul just like Lucky, we just need to help them find each other!
Let’s make sure Lucky doesn’t have to celebrate another mile stone date in the shelter!
