River days are the best days! 🌲🐾💦

Hilux and Milo hit the trails today for a river hike packed with adventure, sniffing, exploring, and plenty of swimming breaks to beat the heat. 🏞️

Did you know? Swimming can be an excellent low-impact exercise for dogs, helping build muscle, improve cardiovascular health, and keep them cool during warmer weather. Just remember that even water-loving dogs can get tired, so frequent rest breaks and fresh drinking water are always important!

Safe to say these two are heading home happy, fulfilled, and ready for a well-earned nap. ❤️🐕

🐾 Happy Father’s Day to all the amazing dog dads, cat dads, and pet dads out there! 🐾

Thank you for the early morning walks, endless games of fetch, treats slipped under the table, and all the love you give your four-legged family members every single day. Your pets may not be able to say it, but they know who their hero is.

Today we celebrate the special bond between pets and the dads who care for them, protect them, and spoil them just a little bit extra. ❤️

Wishing all of our wonderful clients and their families a very Happy Father’s Day filled with wagging tails, wet noses, and plenty of cuddles!

🌲🐾 More Than Just a Walk 🐾🌲

One of the biggest misconceptions about dogs is that they simply need endless physical exercise to be tired. In reality, mental stimulation, structured socialization, and learning to navigate the world calmly can be even more exhausting—in the best way possible.

Our structured pack hikes provide dogs with the opportunity to practice calm social skills, impulse control, recall, heel work, and environmental confidence while exploring new scents and terrain. For many dogs, a well-balanced pack hike can be more fulfilling and draining than an entire day of daycare because they are using both their minds and bodies throughout the adventure.

With the warmer weather arriving, we’re also keeping a close eye on temperatures and ensuring our dogs stay safe. The majority of our hiking trails are shaded, helping keep dogs comfortable while still allowing them to enjoy the benefits of outdoor enrichment. Water breaks, pace adjustments, and monitoring each dog’s energy level are all part of ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience

☀️🐾 Welcome Milo to the Pack! 🐾☀️

A big welcome to Milo the German Shepherd, who has joined for our weekly pack hike adventures! We’re excited to have this handsome boy exploring the trails, building confidence, practicing good social skills, and enjoying some healthy mental and physical enrichment alongside his new friends.

As temperatures continue to rise, it’s important for all dog owners to be mindful of the signs of heat exhaustion and heat stroke in dogs. Unlike us, dogs cannot cool themselves efficiently through sweating and can quickly overheat during exercise, especially in direct sun.

⚠️ Signs of overheating can include:
• Excessive panting
• Drooling more than normal
• Bright red gums
• Weakness or lethargy
• Vomiting or diarrhea
• Stumbling or disorientation
• Collapse in severe cases

To help keep everyone safe and comfortable, the trails we use for our pack hikes are primarily shaded, allowing dogs to enjoy their adventure while staying cooler. We also ensure plenty of water breaks, monitor each dog’s energy levels closely, and adjust our pace based on weather conditions and the needs of the group.

A tired dog is great, but a safe dog is even better. ❤️🐶

Welcome to the pack, Milo! We can’t wait for many more adventures together. 🌲🐾💚
