Let’s talk baths, shampoo, and conditioner!
It’s important to wash your dog at least once a month using a high quality shampoo and conditioner to help maintain a healthy skin and coat.
To begin, lather shampoo all over your dog. Allow it to sit for 1-2 minutes, giving it a chance to begin breaking down the dirt and debris before thoroughly rinsing. If you have an extra dirty dog, you can repeat these steps a second time before proceeding.
When all soap residue is completely rinsed, it is important to finish the bath with a high quality conditioner. Similarly to our hair, washing strips the vital oils from their skin and coat. Conditioner will help to replenish the moisture, preventing itchiness and discomfort. Let the conditioner sit for at least 3-5 minutes to allow it time to fully absorb into to hair follicles.
