💭💡Behind the Leash: Designing the Hund Universal Leash🐾✨
When we set out to design the Hund Universal Leash, we didn't just want another leash, we wanted your favourite leash. The kind you grab for morning walks, hikes, pup-cafe runs, and those days where everything just clicks.
Here's a peek behind the curtain of how we made that happen⬇️
Design first, then Dog-Tested chaos 💨
We started in the most glamorous way possible - scribbles on napkins and voice notes sent back and forth during dog walks.
We asked ourselves:
- What annoys us about most leashes?
- What would make walks smoother?
- What can we do differently that actually makes sense?
From there, we mocked up dozens of variations. Adjustable lengths, multiple attachment points, different hardware placements... and then? We got messy.
🐕🦺We Tested. Our Dogs Approved (eventually😉)
We clipped the early prototypes onto our own pups and lived with them. We tested them in the rain, the snow, the beach, the mud. We wrapped them around chairs, wore them crossbody, and even used them to clip two dogs at once. (Shoutout to Sasha for being part of that experience💕)
Our dogs? Brutally honest.
If something was uncomfortable, twisted too easily, or didn't hold up, it went back to the drawing board.
