A great big congratulations to our Beanie Boys, now named Rock & Roll by their forever family ❤️ These lucky kids have been settling into their new home very quickly, sleeping in bed with their humans and zooming around with their new big brother, a small dog named Peanut who was raised with a cat and is over the moon at the addition of his two little boys!

Thank you Ken and Marian, for loving our boys and giving them their happy ending. The rough patch is over for Rock & Roll, and we are so happy they're home 🥰

Our Cat of the Week is: Miss Patchwork Chimera!

Skin and bones, covered in fleas and missing half her fur, Miss Patches was begging for help at a bus stop when a member of our team happened across her. When the gentleman she was hanging out with stated she was a stray and continued on his way, our team member scooped her up and walked the rest of the way home with her.

Miss Patty quickly made herself at home, and was very friendly with the resident cats. As soon as she was healthy enough she was integrated with our resident cats and became a member of the family almost instantly.

As it turns out, she had another surprise in store! Two months after joining us, almost to the day , Miss Patty gave birth to five beautiful, healthy babies (black & white cat pictured with her is her daughter, Miss Gotham). If changing our little mama's life hadn't already set our course, watching these little nuggets growing up safe and warm indoors definitely did it. I owe my life as I know it to this little sweetheart, and so does every cat we have helped as Rough Patches Cat Rescue.

Miss Patty's rough patch is over, she is home with us and very, very loved.

Our cat of the week is feelin fine and fancy, It's Bean!

Bean was found on the streets with her mother Tina in September 2024. Bean was friendly enough to stick around with her mother and wait for a rescue team of two to scoop them up together.

Originally settling into the quarantine room, Bean had chirping conversations with the local boys and eventually was able to visit, then settle into, the general population.

These days when Bean isn't getting hurt trying to see her mother, she's happily lounging around the house or running around playing with the other cats. She's very friendly and energetic!

Bean still needs to be fixed as well as a few final shots and then she will be ready to find her furrever home.

Who doesn't love a snuggly Beanie baby?

Our little Bean is the biggest sweetheart! She loves to be picked up and snuggled, or curl up in bed with her humans 🥰 A tiny champion, she has bounced back from her brush with mama and is back to doing parkour around the house with her cat friends!

A huge thank you to the generous person who sent $50 for Bean's vet care! We here at Rough Patches Cat Rescue appreciate you very much!

While we are still trying to pay off the remainder of the $217 vet bill, our little Bean has become a woman. It is time to get her spayed, to prevent her suffering from pyometra, cancer, or a host of other issues. Thanks to her mama(Miss Tina) and our rescue team, Bean will never spend another night on the streets, or bring more vanier street cats into this world. Now we need your help to keep her safe and healthy!

In addition to the $167 outstanding for the vet care for her leg injury, we need to raise $370 for her routine vet care before she can be ready for adoption.

Our cat of the week is: 4 small kittens in a trench coat!

Tina's most recent litter, these little beans have gone from terrorizing momma, to acting like they own the place in no time.

Fairly well behaved little kids, they did NOT 🚫 do the damage to the chair.

2 boys in grey (already adopted) and 2 girls (with much interest) these bundles of joy love spending time with humans and are shaping up to be real cuddle bugs.

The Cat of the week in a surprise twist: Tina, the tiger Mom 🐯🐅

Tina was found with her Daughter, Bean, sheltered under some parked cars on the street late at night.

When they were found we had nothing to catch them with, but thankfully, both Mother and daughter waited patiently for the return of their rescuers, since they really had no reason to leave.

Tina did NOT enjoy the company of the Rough Patches Cat staff and had to be given her own room. Since it turns out she was pregnant it all worked out for the best.

Still fiercely defensive of her space and children, Tina is a proud mother to 4 new kittens alongside her previous daughter, Bean.

While not one to suffer the company of stranger cats, Tina is very friendly to humans big and small and loves lounging by the window until she falls asleep and falls down 😂

Update on our Princess Bean who graciously showed off her little toesies for us.

Bean is feeling a lot better since her mother took a taste of her little chicken leg.

The treatments have worked wonders. With the help of supportive donors we've recouped $50/$217 for the initial visit.

What we'd love to do now is get her into a checkup, get her fixed and set her up with a furrever home.

With your help we can make her dreams of a loving family with more attention than she can deal with come true!
