This weekend at the OKC was such a special one for our girls 💛

First, a huge congratulations to Violet and Dorothy for earning their CGN title — Canine Good Neighbour! I am incredibly proud of them and all the hard work, obedience, and heart they continue to show every day.

Dorothy and Blossom also stepped into the exhibition ring this weekend and came home with ribbons! While we didn’t add any points toward titles this time, the experience and progress made it all worthwhile.

Blossom had a beautiful introduction to the ring on Saturday for her very first dog show. She listened well, moved with a lovely stride, and showed so much potential. I can’t wait to watch her grow 💕

Dory also earned Reserve Winner today in a lineup of 4 females! So proud of my girls for their obedience, their heart, and their willingness to work with me.

As the first show of the season, we truly had a blast — and this is only the beginning ✨

Last night, Dorothy and Blossom proudly represented our program and purebred dogs registered with the Canadian Kennel Club at Pets Canada Hill Day.

A heartfelt thank you for the warm hospitality—we truly appreciated being part of a great event. The girls came home very tired after all the excitement, but safe to say they thoroughly enjoyed an evening full of cuddles and attention. 🐾

Milestone for Blazing Stars💗

Our beautiful Koda, I'M ON MY WAY BLAZING STAR KODA, turned 11 years old today!

This makes me so proud as a breeder. Koda has produced such a beautiful line of dogs, and reaching 11 years old is a true reflection of the longevity that runs in her veins. It gives me so much hope that her progeny will carry that same strength and longevity forward.

Koda is aging so well. She is still active, still incredibly smart, and still has that special spark she had in her prime — even if she gets a little sore when she pushes herself too hard. We love her so much.

Thank you, Cindy Donahue, for this beautiful girl. Eleven years ago, Koda flew to us from South Carolina. Part of her name was inspired by the movie Brother Bear. As Disney fans, we chose her name based on her look, and the song, On My Way, from the movie always makes me think of her first few weeks with us as she made her journey from the U.S. to Canada.

🌸 Introducing Blossom 🌸
14 weeks old | Keeper from our Qi’ra and Arthur litter

Blossom is a very special girl. She is our keeper puppy from our Jupiter litter (Qi'ra and Arhthur litter) and an important part of the future of our breeding program.

Her great-grandmother is still with us and soon turning 11 years old — a true testament to the longevity and strength of this line. Her father’s pedigree traces directly back to Swiss heritage. Blossom was kept for her beautiful temperament, compact and balanced conformation, strong bone, and overall quality. She represents the continuation of our legacy.

We are considering a co-ownership home for the right family.

What is co-ownership?

Blossom lives her everyday life as your beloved family companion.
We retain ownership and her reproductive rights as part of our carefully planned breeding program.

Co-ownership is not a free opportunity. Co-owners are financially involved and share responsibility in maintaining the high standards of our program. Details are discussed privately with approved families.

There are many benefits to being part of our co-ownership program, and we are happy to provide full information to families who reach out and meet our initial criteria.

Ideal Home Requirements:

• Located within 1 hour of us
• Previous experience owning a Bernese Mountain Dog
• Preferably another well-socialized, fixed dog in the home
• Commitment to following our medical, nutrition, and training protocols

Proper diet plays a vital role in longevity. Training and socialization are equally important — Bernese Mountain Dogs are incredibly intelligent, and without guidance can develop unwanted habits (and who could ever say no to that sweet face?).

Blossom is a true legacy puppy, and finding her perfect match will be done thoughtfully and carefully.

Born here at Blazing Stars, Violet represents our third generation — and the intentional direction we are moving toward.

Her title is not about collecting ribbons.
It is about recognition — of quality, progress, and thoughtful breeding.

We are currently looking for a special co-own family for Blossom, one of the beautiful puppies from Arthur × Qi’ra’s litter.

Blossom will be ready to join her co-own home next weekend. She is a lovely, well-balanced girl with a sweet temperament and great potential, and she will remain an important part of our breeding program.

⚠️ Important:
This co-ownership arrangement represents a financial investment for the co-owner, and interested families must be prepared and willing to invest financially in the dog being co-owned, in addition to understanding the responsibilities that come with co-ownership.

We are seeking a committed, loving family who understands co-ownership and is excited to work closely with us as Blossom grows and matures. She will live primarily as a cherished family companion while remaining under our breeding program.
