Our RVTs and VAs administer fluids and pain medications and provide TLC to help stabilize injured turtles, such as Snappers and Blanding's (seen here with RVT Lindsay)💙.

Many dogs exposed to ticks may not show signs right away, but Lyme disease can lead to fever, inappetance, joint pain, and other serious complications. Regular testing helps us catch infections early. 🩸

No, we haven't started treating sea anemones. What you're looking at is an endoscopic view of a knee joint with a torn ACL ligament, known in dogs as a cranial crucuate ligament tear. The wavy tentacles you are seeing are the filaments of the torn ligament. 🌊

This procedure is performed during cruciate ligament surgery to visualize the knee cartilage and structures before a TPLO is started.

Big smiles but a painful lesson! Max had an unfortunate close encounter with a porcupine and getting quilled is no joke.
Porcupine quills are barbed, so they embed easily into the skin and can continue to work their way deeper over time. It's important to not try to cut or pull quills out at home as improper removal can cause quills to snap and make things worse. Best to seek veterinary care immediately! 🐶
Any pup can end up in a prickly situation like this! Stay alert on walks this time of the year, especially in wooded or rural areas.
