Santa’s First Christmas Ride:-
Long before reindeer graced the skies,
And elves built toys where the snowflakes lie,
Santa rode forth with a heart so wide,
On his trusty horse, his only guide.
The night was crisp, the moon aglow,
Stars scattered o’er the world below.
No jingling bells, no sleigh in sight,
Just a man and his steed in the still of night.
The sack he carried was heavy with care,
Each gift a token of love to share.
The horse neighed softly, its breath a plume,
As they trod through forests wrapped in gloom.
From chimney to chimney, house to house,
Santa moved quiet as a drowsy mouse.
His horse stood patient, steady and true,
While Santa slid down to leave a clue—
A doll, a train, a sweet candy cane,
A gift for the girl in the windowpane.
Through frost-bitten winds, they pressed on still,
Climbing each hill with unwavering will.
The journey was lonely, the night was long,
Yet Santa hummed a hopeful song.
His horse’s hooves beat a gentle tune,
As stars surrendered to dawn’s pale moon.
When the final gift was placed with care,
Santa looked up at the morning air.
His heart swelled full, his work complete,
His horse nickered softly, its mission sweet.
And so it began, the legend we know,
Of Santa and magic, where love must go.
But on that first night, under starlight’s dome,
It was Santa and his horse, delivering home.

Silent Hooves: A Remembrance for the War Horses

Silent hooves on the battlefield lost in time’s gray mist,
Ghostly shapes of courage, in every gallop, every twist.
Eyes wide with loyalty, hearts fierce and true,
They carried soldiers’ burdens, like heroes born anew.
Beneath the roar of cannon fire, in mud and cold and dread,
These valiant steeds, with noble hearts, pressed onward, and bravely led.
Through endless fields of suffering, they thundered without pause,
Their only bond is a silent vow, their loyalty to the cause.
Forgotten in the pages, just shadows in the dust,
Yet still they ride in memory, their duty wrought in trust.
The reins they wore, the saddles borne, no longer weigh them down—
Now free to roam in endless fields, untouched by war’s dark crown.
Today we stand in silence, for warriors lost and gone,
Yet remember too the gallant steeds who helped to carry on.
In solemn thanks, we bow our heads, for lives lost in the fight—
Both man and beast, remembered here, in morning’s softest light.
Silent hooves on distant hills, beyond our earthly pain,
We hear their echo softly now, like distant drops of rain.
So let us keep their memory, those souls so brave and strong—
For in the fields of memory, they ride forever on.

Here's proof as to why our stress disappears when you enter the barn!

Original pilot study from the HeartMath Institute, shows that a human's heart will sync or entrain to the heart rhythm of a horse's heart - just by being near the horse.

A loving tribute to Masquarade from Rachael.

✨Masquarade✨

My Bubba. My Heart. My World. My Life.

Mask was everything to me. She was my first love, my best friend, my first real responsibility. She was my keeper of secrets and a fuzzy shoulder to cry on. We went through everything together. She shaped my life. She is the reason I will have horses until it’s my time.

I am proud to have gotten her into her 30th year.

She was mine for 18 years but I’ve known her for around 23 years. No amount of time was enough.

It’s the hardest decision for any animal owner to know when the time is right the time before catastrophe.

So that’s the extremely difficult decision I had to make.

She had one last summer/fall and her last few days were the most beautiful.

Thank you my dearest Bubba, my entire world,

My Masquerade.

I’ll see you again when it’s my time.

Love you to infinity ♾️♥️🥺

Don’t forget the school horse that made you.

The patient soul that tolerated your bouncing while you figured out how to sit the trot.

The kind mare that didn’t walk off when you fumbled with the bridle.

The sweet gelding that picked up the correct canter lead even though your body was telling him to do the exact opposite.

The saintly angel that never spooked, which is a good thing because your balance was precarious at best because you only rode once a week.

Too often we forget where we came from. We move on to the next chapter in our lives and say, “Oh my gosh, I’m learning so much! I’m going so far!

That school horse gave you the confidence to move forward. That school horse took care of you and allowed you to take the time you needed to find your way. You couldn’t have become the rider you are today without that school horse.

Here's to all the lesson horses both here and those looking over us from above.

Thank you.
