Thank you Morgan McAdams and family for all of the hard work that you put in making the show a success. I’m looking forward to seeing some pictures of your daughter’s ride. These volunteers painted, loaned, loaded and unloaded the obstacle s for our hunter courses at both ends of the show, then turned up and worked as Jump Crew!

I had the absolute privilege of photographing the 2025 Wild Rose Welsh and Open Pony Show this weekend. A HUGE shout out to the organizers, judges and tireless volunteers that made this event a huge success. One of the highlights from my weekend was being able to photograph this young gentleman and some of his ribbons... yup! there were more that we couldn't get into this shot!! Both horse and rider are showcasing their well deserved smiles. A proud moment for both I would say!!

Bill & Milli Pratt Memorial: Junior High Point Award with perpetual trophy.

In 1960 Bill & Milli Pratt bought Calling Horse Ranch. They purchased two quality Welsh Pony mares, Call Girl and Pen Rose Penny. With these mares, they started raising some of the initial Welsh Arab ponies in the province, which their seven children showed for years.

Their oldest daughter, Robin Whenham, grew up on ponies, and never outgrew them. Whether riding, judging, teaching, breeding or driving them, ponies were always in her life. Their youngest daughter, Judy, is still involved with Welsh ponies today.

We’re excited to see you this weekend! When you arrive, you’ll receive your exhibitor package; in the meantime, here’s show info and updates.

Key Information:

- Address: MegaDome: 5223 - 54 St, Olds
- Haul-in time: Thurs. August 28, noon, unless prior arrangements made.
- Show start times: 2 pm Fri. / 9 am Sat. / 9 am Sun.
- Stabling: your stalls are assigned to you, with shavings included.
- Extra shavings: $10/bag.
- Vacate stalls: by Sunday evening, Aug. 31, unless prior arrangements are made. Mandatory move out is Monday pm.
- Wash racks are available.
- Food & Drink: a food truck will be available throughout the weekend, starting at noon on Friday!
- Photographer: Inside the Apple

**Entries close Saturday, 9 am.**

Kasandra Snyder Memorial: Junior Sportsmanship Award

We lost a very special member of our community, Kassie, Shelley Snyder’s daughter, who many of us watched grow into a kind young woman with an easy smile, who was always ready to lend a hand. We are honouring her memory by recognizing a standout junior exhibitor who embodies the sportsmanship for which Kassie was well known. Thank you to Shelley Snyder and Kat Marie for sponsoring this.
