🙏 We need your help 🙏
Our hay fund is really low right now because the drought last summer meant feeding more hay earlier in the year than we had budgeted for.
In the winter, after our round bales ran out, we were feeding about 20 bales a day!
It is almost hay cutting time and we would like to be able to buy our round bales for the winter right off of the field (it is a better price!)
If you are in a position to donate, we would really appreciate it! Tax receipts are available for donations over $20.
If you are unable to help at this time, liking, commenting, and sharing helps too!

It's the perfect time to come for a tour! The weather forecast looks great and so do our freshly sheared residents!

The ducks are the only ones who seem to like this rainy weather.
The ducks are all reunited, including Duckie Shmuckie, who spent the winter in our house. Their new, temporary home is in front of the goat stalls in the upper barn so they can waddle down to the creek every day to go swimming!

Great news!
Molly was tested for CL, the contagious disease that was potentially behind the abscesses she's been getting. The test was negative!! That means she and Baby can start going outside with the other goats and play!

Bronwyn has a new summer job as a lawn mower around the barn and she's keen to get started!
She had an infection in her jaw and ended up getting some loose teeth pulled making it harder to chew hay. Luckily, the grass is both soft and yummy!
I think she might need some help when it warms up and the grass really starts growing, but she can talk some friends into helping out!

Sometimes you turn and look to see what they are both looking at but there's nothing there...it can make you question everything after a while!
In this case, it was our dog Sam, she fell behind on our walk because there was something really interesting because the snow had melted (I stopped looking, it's dog interesting, not people interesting)
Also, I took this picture yesterday, it's too depressing out there today. Where did spring go?!

It's a beautiful day for a dip in the wallow! A sign of the times ahead!

3 years ago, Wilbur lived in the bottom barn and jumped up like Maple does now!
A month from when this was taken, Melly arrived on the farm and Wilbur moved out to his current home.

Piggy update: she is settling in slowly and has really gotten comfortable in the last few days. The first few days were hard, pigs don't like changes, especially big ones, so she didn't eat for a few days. Now she has been grunting at mealtime and her tail has even wagged a few times!
She is currently in her own little pen, but she can hear and see (not that pigs have great vision) some of the other animals in the barn.
Once she is comfortable enough, we will let her wander around and meet some of the others through the stall doors. We are letting her settle in at her own pace. But so far, I think Ruby might be a good friend when she is introduced to the hallway dwellers - they are the most accepting of newcomers, they are a pretty mellow group!
