Shadow is a sweet, goofy boy with a gentle heart who truly enjoys being around people. Once he feels comfortable, his playful and silly side really comes out and he has a way of bringing smiles with his funny, endearing personality. He loves spending time with his humans and being part of whatever is going on.

In a calm, patient, and supportive environment, Shadow is able to settle and show his affectionate, loving nature.

Chestnut is a sweet, easygoing girl who is ready to leave shelter life behind and enjoy life with her people. Like many dogs in a kennel environment, she can be excited and reactive when coming out of her kennel, eager to get outside and explore. Once she is out and away from the kennel, her calm and gentle nature shines through.

Chestnut walks beautifully on leash and is a pleasure to spend time with. She enjoys getting out for walks, taking in the sights and smells, and being by your side.

As she is reactive to other dogs, she would do best as the only dog in the home, where she can relax and be the center of attention.

If you are looking for a sweet, loyal companion with great leash manners and a laid-back personality, Chestnut may be the perfect match.

Suzy is a sweet and gentle girl who is looking for a patient family to help her blossom. When meeting new people, she can be a little shy and reserved at first, preferring to take a moment to assess the situation before showing her affectionate side. Once she feels comfortable, she enjoys attention and is happy to be petted!

One of Suzy's best qualities is her easy-going nature around other dogs. She shows no signs of dog reactivity and is able to coexist comfortably with canine companions.

On walks, Suzy can be enthusiastic and may pull a bit on the leash at times, especially when something catches her interest. She would benefit from continued positive reinforcement training to help polish her leash skills. Suzy can also get a little jumpy when she's excited, but her enthusiasm comes from a place of happiness and eagerness to connect with her people.

Meet Applejack! Applejack is a 7 year old hound X available at Niagara SPCA & Humane Society

Applejack is a sweet and affectionate boy with a big personality and plenty to say! He loves being around people and isn't shy about expressing himself, whether through barking, howling, or letting you know exactly what's on his mind. Because of his vocal nature, a home without shared walls would likely be the best fit for him.

This handsome boy appears to have a strong interest in scents and exploring the world around him, and it's possible he may have had some hunting experience in his past. He enjoys being active and would thrive with a family that can provide regular walks, enrichment, and opportunities to keep both his mind and body engaged.

Applejack is currently recovering from a leg injury, so his exercise and playtime are being gradually increased as he heals. He is eager to get moving and enjoys his outings, but his activity level will need to continue building at a pace that supports his recovery.

Strong and enthusiastic, Applejack would also benefit from some leash training to help him refine his walking manners. With consistency, patience, and positive reinforcement, he has great potential to become an excellent adventure companion.

I was able to scoop Boss up from the Niagara SPCA & Humane Society on his 126th day there. When I checked exactly how old he was, it said that he celebrated his first birthday yesterday. Happy birthday Boss 🩷 Boss had a field trip to , a private dog park located in Fenwick - and he was the best boy, checking in with me the whole time. Being silly with his toy. Hanging out with me in the shade. And being an excellent car ride companion.

Boss is a typical young boxer who is silly and sweet.🩷 he’s looking for a home that will continue his training and socialization so he can grow into the best boy he can be.

Brian is a handsome boy with a beautiful, luxurious coat and an even more beautiful personality. Sweet, gentle, and affectionate, Brian is the kind of dog who quickly captures hearts.

Brian is eager to get out and explore, so he may pull initially on walks. Once he has had a chance to release some energy, he settles down and walks well.

Despite his size and strength, Brian is incredibly gentle. He can be a little shy when meeting new people, but he warms up quickly and loves affection. He appears to do well with other dogs and would thrive in a home where he has space to move, play, and simply enjoy being part of a family.

Brian does not enjoy being physically restrained and may require some extra patience and understanding during veterinary visits. With a calm approach and trust building, he is a cooperative and loving companion.

JJ is a sweet, high-energy girl with a gentle soul. She can be quite excited when coming out of her kennel and is always eager to get out and explore. Once she has had a chance to burn off some energy, her affectionate and easy going personality shines through.

JJ walks nicely on leash and loves taking her time to sniff and investigate the world around her. She is very treat-motivated and has an impressive ability to sniff out treats hidden in your pocket! She comes when called, enjoys cuddles, and loves spending time with her people.

Despite her enthusiasm, JJ is gentle, calm, and appears to do well with children. She also seems to get along well with other dogs. JJ would thrive with an active family that can provide her with exercise, adventure, and plenty of affection. In return, she will reward you with companionship, loyalty, and lots of love.
