Oh how I will miss seeing this adorable gal’s face ❤️

Aspen the Frenchie was a long term client who sadly passed away a few days ago. Aspen unfortunately struggled with many health issues, however her owner took extremely great care of her and supported her in any way she needed.
Aspen really did not like her nail trims, but she never held a grudge when I came over-I would get lots of love and kisses in before and after the nail trim without fail every time 💜 She was always the most forgiving, loving gal. I got to see her a couple weeks ago and I’m very thankful I got one last visit with her. My shoes were also a big hit with Aspen, she always had to inhale them to determine where I’d been and who I’d seen 🥺

Rest easy precious Aspen, where food allergies don’t exist and you can eat however much of whatever you’d like ❤️🍗

Leah the Tuxedo kitty 🤵‍♀️

This sweet gal has a story that will melt your heart 💜 Leah was rescued in June, she had been previously living outside for approximately 2 years 😭 She had scabs covering her body and ear mites which were treated for! 🩺 Her foster mom brought her home at the end of June to help her heal and recover in a more cozy space. Leah still has ongoing skin issues today, but her new mom (Yes, this precious gal was a foster fail😆) intends on getting her allergy tested as well as started on immunotherapy! 💜 Leah’s scabs are sometimes itchy so when she scratches at them, her sharp nails accidentally hurt her! Now with her nails trimmed she can scratch for some relief without hurting herself any further! She cannot be spayed until she’s off her steroids but as soon as she is her owner will be doing the procedure. What a lucky gal Leah is to have found her forever home and have such a dedicated, nurturing and caring owner! 🥰 She’s lived inside for 3 months now and although she has come out of her shell by the tenfold, she still runs away and hides when strangers come over. However when I arrived, to my surprise, little Leah was waiting at the door for me, then came over without hesitation and immediately head butted my hand! 😱 For those who don’t know, this term in cats is called “bunting” and is seen as a positive sign of affection, acceptace and trust. Animals are highly intuitive creatures and always know when a human is there to just be a friend and to help nurture them. I felt extremely loved that Leah picked up on my loving nature and we definitely became buddies quick 🐈‍⬛ She tolerated what was most likely her first ever nail trim like a pro! 🥺

All rescue animals have a very big spot in my heart-they have SO much love to give! 🫶🏼 Earl, my 4 year-old cat was found as a stray in Saskatchewan and you’ll often hear me talking about how he is a unicorn cat! 🦄

Princess the Manx x 👑

Princess was a very happy camper when she thought I had just come over to love on her and chat with her mom, but wasn’t sure how to feel that she was getting a nail trim and stomach shave in her own home for the first time-I imagine Princess thinking, “how does the groomer know where I live?” 👀🤣 Nonetheless, she tolerated the whole process very well-but still had to sneak in some hisses to let me know she was feeling less than thrilled 😆 Princess is an older gal who sometimes overgrooms herself so getting her tummy shaved helps manage it💜See you in 5 weeks sweet, sassy gal! 🐱

As of November 4th, I will be charging for GST on all services. The 5% GST will be added to your total moving forwards from Nov 4th! Invoices can be provided for convenience if you’d like! 🧾

Example:

$30 nail trim + 5% GST

=$31.50

$100 groom +5% GST

=$105

I’m sooo close to 500 followers!!! 😱

I had the absolute pleasure of meeting 5 month old Banana the Leonberger pup today! 🍌

Being the gentle giant the breed is known to be, Banana didn’t mind getting her first ever nail trim but I do think the beef liver treats had her full attention 🤣 She wasn’t too sure how she felt about the clippers for her paw pad trim (the noise and vibration of the clippers can feel weird for pups at first!) but with some desensitization at home I know she’ll get the hang of it in no time! 💛 This gal could get up to 140 lb full grown 😱 She’ll definitely be a bigger life sized Banana the next time I see her 🤣

Mr. Rudy was feeling so relaxed that his little eyelids kept closing during his groom! Then his tongue popped out 🤣 Normally a reactive boy for grooming, having it done in his own home and having his mom nearby made the experience so much better for him! What a good boy! 😇

Poppy the Dachshund 🌸

I got to give this cutie a tubby time today! 🛁 Poppy was a very happy gal to get her brushing (aka full body massage) and enjoyed most of her bath I’d say 🤣 She started whining towards the end but didn’t stop wagging her tail 😆 She was less than thrilled to get her nails done but treats helped make her pawdicure a bit better!! 🍬

On another note, I’ve started to offer dog nail polish!! The water based nail polish I use is dog safe, non toxic, quick drying and temporary! It can be an add on to a nail trim or groom! 🫧 Poppy got the lavender shade 💜 I also have dark purple, bright pink, white, dark blue, grey, rose pink, bright blue, yellow, orange, red, bright green and brown!! 🌈 Price is $10 for front paws + $5 for back paws 🐾

🐩 New policy in effect immediately! 🐩

I currently allow certain clients to bathe their dog prior to the groom, most of which are senior dogs or dogs with reactivity to grooming which I will continue to do! 🐾

Moving forwards I will no longer be allowing new clients to bathe their dog before hand (***exclusions stated below***) and the reasons behind this are:

1. I am unable to check over your dog’s skin throughly when drying with the high velocity dryer, checking for any new bumps or skin issues that may arise 🐶
2. The finish of the groom does not turn out as nice when the coat is not professionally prepped and dried 🪮
3. I use salon quality shampoo and conditioner that is tailored to benefit your dog’s skin and coat 🧴

***Exclusions to this policy apply to senior dogs for comfort grooms and dogs with anxiety or reactivity who can’t tolerate the bath and haircut in one day!***

Tito the Chihuahua 🐺

Tito is such a handsome man, he doesn’t look like a senior guy at all! Tito loves to remind me of the big scary guard dog he is when I first arrive, but quickly settles and I get to give him some love! For a Chi he tolerates his nail trims quite well, only the occasional tiny growl 🥹 I have a very soft spot for any kind of Chihuahua or Chihuaha mix, they are the best 💜

Miss Maple the Aussiedoodle 🎀

Maple has been seeing me since the start of my grooming career! She has had some not so great haircuts from me when I was just a baby groomer, but it’s so rewarding to look back at pictures and compare them to the grooms I do on her today!

Maple is such a good girl for her whole groom and today we kept her longer and fluffy for winter! 💜
