🐾❤️ MIA UPDATE – A BEAUTIFUL NEW CHAPTER BEGINS! ❤️🐾
We have some wonderful news to share about our sweet Mia!
Thanks to our amazing Montreal Dog Blog community, two families reached out and home visits were arranged.
We are happy to share that Mia has found a loving family ready to welcome her into their home! 🏡❤️
Her first visit went beautifully, and we are now focusing on making her transition as smooth, comfortable, and positive as possible for everyone involved.
For now, our search for Mia's forever home is officially on hold as she begins this exciting new chapter.
A heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who shared her story, reached out, offered help, or simply sent their love.
Your kindness and compassion have meant the world to us.
We look forward to sharing more happy news as Mia settles into her new home! 🐶💕🐾

🐾 A SPECIAL APPEAL TO OUR MONTREAL DOG RESCUE COMMUNITY – LET'S HELP MIA! ❤️
Dear Montreal Dog Blog family,
Today, I'm reaching out to our wonderful community with a very special request.
Meet Mia, a beautiful fixed, 2-year-old Shih Tzu–Yorkie mix weighing approximately 18 lbs, who is looking for a second chance at finding the right forever home. 🐶❤️
Mia holds a special place in my heart because I've had the pleasure of babysitting her and getting to know her personally. She's a sweet, affectionate little girl with so much love to give.
Unfortunately, her current family has not been able to dedicate the time and consistent training she needs. They want to do what's best for Mia and find her an environment where she can truly thrive.
A little about Mia:
🐾 2 years old, Shih Tzu–Yorkie mix
🐾 Approximately 18 lbs
🐾 Located in Montreal, Quebec
🐾 Vaccinations up to date, with veterinary records available
🐾 Sweet, loving, and generally calm
🐾 Needs help learning basic commands, appropriate play, and boundaries
What is important to know:
Mia struggles with resource guarding, meaning she can become possessive of certain objects and may bite when someone attempts to take them away. She also needs guidance learning how to play without using her teeth.
For this reason, we are looking for an experienced, patient, adult-only home without other pets, preferably with someone familiar with canine behaviour and positive reinforcement training.
Mia is not a bad dog. She is a little dog who needs understanding, consistency, structure, and someone willing to invest in helping her succeed. ❤️
My appeal today is especially to our rescue organizations, foster networks, and experienced dog lovers in Montreal.
If you are involved with a reputable rescue organization that could help assess Mia, provide behavioural support, or assist in finding her the right home, I would be incredibly grateful to hear from you.
As one of the founding bloggers of Montreal Dog Blog, I've seen firsthand how compassionate and resourceful our animal-loving community can be. I'm hoping that together, we can make a difference for this little girl.
Mia deserves a safe, loving home where she can feel secure and become the wonderful companion I know she has the potential to be.
