Anna Marie and Emily had a great time yesterday attending AAEVT’s Regional Meeting hosted at King Animal Hospital. The day consisted of engaging lectures and hands-on labs designed specifically for equine technicians and assistants 📝🐴

Highlights included advanced imaging labs such as taking dental radiographs and ultrasound practice of the chest and abdomen. We are grateful for opportunities like this for continued education for the FEVS team📚🩻

Introducing RVT Emily to the Ferguson Equine team! 🩺🐴

She graduated from Georgian College and earned her RVT status in 2011. Worked in small animal medicine for over 10 years while training and managing horses at the same time. After a couple years of freelance grooming, she landed at an elite farm to groom at the national/FEI level. Now she is happy to be switched back to equine medicine and is loving being apart of the team! 🫶🏻

As an RVT, she is experienced to assist in multiple tasks such as IV injections, blood collection, placing catheters, taking radiographs, and the list goes on! Make sure to give her a warm welcome next time you see her ☺️
