Pawsio is making a change to our water-based services. Our swimming pool will be closing on November 13th, but we’ll continue helping dogs move better, build strength, and work toward their goals with the introduction of underwater treadmill services.
The underwater treadmill will support two areas of care:
- Rehabilitation and hydrotherapy for dogs working through recovery or other mobility challenges, with veterinary referral as required.
- Fitness conditioning for healthy, active dogs looking to improve strength, endurance, coordination, and overall fitness, including dogs involved in canine sports.
While swimming and underwater treadmill exercise offer different benefits, the treadmill provides an opportunity for controlled, purposeful movement in water, with the ability to adjust conditions to suit each dog’s needs.
We know some of our clients have enjoyed their pool sessions, and we’re grateful to everyone who has been part of that journey. We look forward to helping suitable clients transition to this new option and welcoming dogs who are ready to explore what underwater treadmill training can offer.
