Gain a sound understanding of basic horsemanship! We donā€™t hurry through the basics to get to riding horses. We focus on LEARNING about horses, their history, how horses communicate with one another and with each of us. And we explore how horses can help us to improve our skills and build confidence by learning something new. The opportunity to learn, individually or in small groups (no more than three students per horse and facilitator) means that we can take the time to demonstrate and explain basic horse anatomy, communication and how to care for horses; all of the important skills you would need to proceed to riding, leasing, owning or working with horses, or to simply enjoy interacting with them. Andā€¦if you want to know what riding a horse feels like there is the opportunity during the last session.

Our Youth Introduction to Horses & Horse Care program combines practical horse knowledge with fun, engaging activities that encourage teamwork, responsibility, communication, and connection.

No experience neededā€”just a love for horses!
