Out walking the dog and took a moment to really see the beauty in something so basic. A green field, wooden fence, a blue sky, yellow leaves and tree bark. Caught my eye. Share what catches yours this beautiful fall day.

Jasper
You could take the dog for a walk or… You could take Jasper. Do you miss the barn? Are you looking for a quiet soul to spend some time with? Well Jasper might be your little man. Jasper is a mystery age somewhere between 25 and 30 years old. He loves treats and attention and usually walks better on a lead than our border collie; but true to his pony status he has a mischievous side. If you are looking for time at the barn to groom, take a walk on a small trail system, practice obstacles or trick training in our indoor arena and enjoy a friendly, mature and social barn environment then Jasper‘s TLC part-time board opportunity could be for you.

Gain a sound understanding of basic horsemanship! We don’t hurry through the basics to get to riding horses. We focus on LEARNING about horses, their history, how horses communicate with one another and with each of us. And we explore how horses can help us to improve our skills and build confidence by learning something new. The opportunity to learn, individually or in small groups (no more than three students per horse and facilitator) means that we can take the time to demonstrate and explain basic horse anatomy, communication and how to care for horses; all of the important skills you would need to proceed to riding, leasing, owning or working with horses, or to simply enjoy interacting with them. And…if you want to know what riding a horse feels like there is the opportunity during the last session.

4 or 8 week programs available this fall
