Story time since all my posts have been schedule posts for the last few months. Of course you all know I love animals of all kinds. Well lately, as a friend said, I’ve been a magnet to wild animals. About a month ago a little fox found her way to my house after something happened to her mom. We got her caught and she went to a wildlife rescue to get the best chance. Meanwhile ravens had nested in my horses shelter. The nest was very high up so I couldn’t see anything but was excited to see the babies when they started learning how to fly. Me seeing them came a little quicker than expected when their nest somehow fell down from the rafters and the babies landed on the ground, right beside my horses hay feeder. Thankfully it was a soft landing with the hay and somehow the horses didn’t step on them overnight. They are now in a little makeshift nest I made from a basket and bits of the nest their parents had made. The parents were back in the afternoon while the basket was being put up so while I will be checking them daily, it seems the parents have it under control and ideally the “nest” will hold up to their weight but it is mounted onto the wood so should be good to go. Here’s some videos and pictures (in comments) of my little wild friends since it’s not often you get to see the babies out in the wild so up close. Bonus picture of some baby robins that decided to nest in my old Christmas tree I had tied outside for the birds over the winter so we got to watch them from eggs, to hatching, to leaving the nest
